I performed a service call for this company on October 29th and November 1st for them and submitted paperwork. Not hearing anything from them I emailed them twice, but have still heard nothing. I was not clear on their payment method or timing and from what is posted on Ripoff Reports makes me wonder if I too will be another victim. I have not yet to be paid, when I called them I was transferred to a recording that explains that they have run into a problem with Tech accounts and they are working to resolve it but asked that I be patient. The gentlemen on the phone told me that I will receive an statement soon but it would be 30 days from that date before I am paid. I was told the same thing by Joe Nerd and have never been paid for the work I did with them and have filed with the Federal Trade Commission because of that, If I am not paid I will join all for a class action suit against them and join in an effort to shut them down as not paying techs for work performed is unacceptable. We are out here to make a living and to work on client systems and I am sure Geeks-on-time have been paid by their clients so why don't the techs get paid in timely manner. Maybe if their clients knew how they do their techs they would be more concerned about paying techs who do the work for them.

Daniel Matalon Admits

#14Author of original report

Wed, February 11, 2009

I left a message for Daniel Matalon regarding the idea that I was deceived regarding their intentions and received a call today at 4:42 pm regarding my message and he admitted they filed bankruptcy but claimed it was in an attempt to avoid other creditors. This criminal cannot be trusted to tell the truth. His lies go on and on. He along with Venus McNabb have no intention of paying anyone. He told me that if I file suit that it will be up to an administrator how much I get paid which is bull. I will move in court to attach his property both business and personal. If I have to ask for a fia fa in order to attach his property I will and am prepared to do that. I will do the same to Venus McNabb. I will not allow them to con me into working for them knowing they had no money to pay their bill. I will also go after Forba Dental Clinics, because the work was performed for them.

Venus McNabb and Daniel Matalon are Crooks

#14Author of original report

Tue, February 10, 2009

Venus McNabb and Daniel Matalon are con-artists to the tee, they will try to convince you they want to do right. Daniel told me in a phone conversation that they are merging with another company and that they will begin paying techs by end of January and offer techs stock in the company to make up for not being paid on time. He went as far as to tell me that they have filed with the Washington State SEC and will complete the deal by end of January. This was a lie and he and that Venus McNabb are stalling to file Chapter 11 to avoid paying their true debt. I hope we can shut these criminals down and get them before a criminal court to face fraud charges. The have stolen money from honest workers and lied about what is going on. The truth is not in either of these totally dishonest people.

Venus McNabb and Daniel Matalon

Venus McNabb and Daniel Matalon can't be trusted or believed. They have no intentions to pay the techs and currently are filing bankrupt to avoid their obligations. I would warn anyone thinking of doing business with these two people to steer clear. They are dishonest and don't know what truth is. They owe many techs and even though they have been paid by the companies we did the work for they have paid no one. They scam small computer companies into doing the work so they can keep the money that companies pay them and then keep the money. I contacted the U.S. Attorney and asked that this company be investigated. I think all of us should file suit against these crooks and take everything they own. They have stolen from honest businesses.

Discussion with Daniel Matalon

Venus McNabb and Daniel Matalon should rename their business to JokesonYou.com as they use people and cheat them of money owed. If I were any company thinking of investing in their business I would think twice as this company is nothing then a ATM for work done by real professionals. We do the work and they get paid and nothing is done to pay techs. All we get is empty promises and lies. I hope we all can team up and suit the pants off Venus McNabb and Daniel Matalon take their properties from them and sell them to pay off all the techs they have ripped off and give them extra for their trouble. All Daniel does is blow smoke so you don't sue. I say let's all team up and SUE These crooks.

Discussion with Daniel Matalon

I spoke with the State of New York, and the SEC and they tell me they have nothing on them, I spoke with Forba and they inform me they stopped dealing with Geeks on Time because of all the problems with techs getting paid. The BBB has this firm rated as an F rating which means they are a HIGH RISK. Daniel still tries to dance around the issues, I was told they were paid a retainer which was never paid to the techs who did the work. I don't trust anything this company has to say now and will begin legal proceedings.

According to Daniel Matalon, they are in the process of closing a deal with a company that would allow them to pay techs and resolve their financial problems. I was told this process is currently under the review of the Securities Exchange Commission which I will investigate to see if this is truthful or a lie and depending on what I find out whether I think we as techs can trust them.

Venus McNabb and the 'VP' Daniel Matalon

#14Author of original report

It is pretty sad that companies like this can steal from hard working families by contracting techs to go out on jobs and not pay them for the work they do. When I did work for this firm I didn't think they were dishonest and when Sandy Lewis called me and told me based on my experience they were going to pay me $45 per hour and mileage. I thought this sounded good and wanted to do many contracts for them but after taking two service calls I have heard nothing regarding my payment. I am angry. I am asking all techs burned by this firm to contact their clients to put an end to their ill gotten gain. They get paid but we don't. That is unacceptable. I have waited now 40 days and still no pay. I am filing suit against them and if anyone who has not been paid wants to join me we can put them out of business by filing complaints against them with BBB, FTC, and the Attorney General in their state.

Being Ignored

#14Author of original report

Mon, December 08, 2008

After having emails and phone calls ignored I think it's now time for the techs who have been burned to contact the clients we did the work for and inform them that Geeks on Time is ripping off techs who do the work. I think we need to cut off their money train because Geeks on Time have gotten paid by their clients but refuse to pay techs. I think if enough techs did this they would be out of business. I also think they should contact the Federal Trade Commission to have this crooks investigated for unethical business practices as this is taking food out of the mouths of techs children which apparently the owners of Geeks on Time don't care about. In my opinion the owners are no better then a bank robber who walks in and takes money they didn't earn.

Ignored Emails

#14Author of original report

Mon, November 24, 2008

I have sent two emails to Sandy at Geeks on Time only to have no response. I think all the unpaid techs should contact the clients they did the work for and ask them to stop using Geeks on Time because the techs don't get paid. This is bull that techs work for this company and the company gets paid by their clients but we get nothing. I am thinking of filing a class action suit on behalf of all techs wronged and asking the FTC to take action against this firm for non-compliance. It's wrong to have techs from local companies do the work only to not pay for their services but collect money for work we perform and keep it. It's wrong and highly unethical.
