G.R.C. is horrible. They will never acknowledge that you have made a payment.
They will take your money and send you a letter stating that they are about to garnish your income or your wages. What can we do to put a stop to this type of behavior. Also they have reported to the credit bureau that i have not paid my student load.

I understand your frustration but I also have dealt with this company, and it is regular practice for a collections office to not send statements since they are not a billing company, along with that if you are sending payments in that is a "at will" payment, any arrangement that you make and set up through the company you will be sent a letter every month before the payment and it'll have your balance. I kept mine for my own records, that is the best way to do it so you have a paper trail. I think since you sending payments to a company through the mail is completely on you.

Also I'm sure if you tell the company that you are going to keep sending in your payments and you refuse to work with them they will advise you that "collections will continue" , and that is where wage garns tax garns come in,. Just set it up and avoid the headache..

Also when it comes to your credit report, each school decides whether or not to report to your credit and the company they hire must do what they are required to do regardless of your feelings about it.. Your student loan is not paid, unless its paid off. The only way for the debt to not be flagged as an unpaid collections account it must be paid in full, once you pay off the debt normally within 30 days it is flagged to the credit reporting agency's as paid in full. From there it still may take 7 years to be completely removed from your credit.
