I sought to buy a steel building, did a competitive bid with three companys, all requests were the same, same number of doors and configuration General steel was the lowest bidder. They said prices were going up the next day so I had only one day to send my deposit in, I did. Next they tell me it's going to be $16,000.00 more to add doors and openings to it. They went from being the lowest to the highest by over $10,000.00. I told them that they misrepresented the product, and canceled the project immediately. General Steel not only refuses to return my deposit of $12,000.00 but as I understand their Leagaleze they are presuring me to sign a waver, of course they would keep my $12,000.00 and I would give up my rights to sue or even talk about it, In return they would agree not to sue me for more. Talk about Testicular fortatude... looking for any help out there!
thanks

steel building sales tactics

steel buildings are great. the problem is that most companies sales tactics are immoral. one might say there is a price increase. another will tell you they have one that a customer ordered but did not take delivery (aka the cancelled building pitch). they will say the original price was 50k and all they want is 26k. unfortunately many people buy these so-called stories. most of these companies act as if they are the manufacturer. do your homework before you buy a steel building, and only purchase from the actual manufacturer. buyer beware!!!!!!!!
