When I got put out on disability leave for my pregnancy I started to get on a tight bugget and went over my account information by the penny to make sure I was able to get by on the state pay. I noticed a transaction coming out of my account by a company called GRC it was $120 every two weeks. I had no phone number, and my bank could not get me any information on this company for me to contact them.

I looked up their information on the internet, I found numerous ripoff reports for this company and many people that were going through the same thing as me.
I finally got a hold of the company and spoke to an operator. She informed me that I took out a pay day loan on March of 2008 of $400. I have been paying $240 each month just in interest and actually still owe over $500 if I want to pay off the loan. That would total over $1000 that the company will make off of me if I am able to pay it all off that day. Since I could not afford to pay off the loan right away. I told the lady that that was ridiculous that I owed that much money on a payday loan of $400. (I had already paid over $600 and according to her it was just interest, no money has gone to the principle) She told me if I wanted to pay more than just interest, I would need to complete a form and fax it back with in 3 days of the next due date. I asked her how people find this form since we cant even find a phone number or address to the company. She repeated an email address that was in the system, but it was not my email address. I gave her my correct email address and asked her to send it right away.

I do not understand how a company can do this to people. It seems unreal that a company can charge that much for a pay day loan. I am in California and have never came accross this kind of preditory lending before, and believe me Ive seen a lot of shady things, but this company takes the cake. I plan on paying off hopefully by next month, but its going to be very tough for me to make ends meet. I really hope a lawyer is able to pick appart this company and help some of the people out there like me that are in this type of situation and can not get out with out affecting their credit and owing way more money than they can afford.
