Gentle Touch Car Wash - San Diego Their Car Wash Scratched My New Car! No Resolution Offered. Very Rude Manager. San Diego California
There is no “Gentle Touch” about this car wash. I recently bought a new car. I drive my new car to the Gentle Touch Car Wash at 7215 Clairemont Mesa Road, San Diego, CA. After my car being washed and toweled dry, I noticed many deep white scratches and marks all over the car (especially on the hood). The scratches appeared to come from a guy wiping off my car because the scratches are back and forth motions.
When I pointed out the scratches, the manager (Mike N.) said “You did that. It was like that before. We did not do it”. I said “excuse me? I just purchased this car. Only time I got it washed was a previous visit here. How could I scratch my car like that?” I asked him if he would try to buff out the area. He denied and accused me of getting stuff for free, said “You are just trying to get something for free. It’s not our fault your car is scratched. We never scratch cars”
AlI asked for is try to buff out the scratched area. I am not asking to buff out entire car. Takes less than 5 min. He still said no. The other employee I know from there tried to help. He asked his manger if he can help. He told him not to help. I have been coming to This Gentle Carwash at Clairemont Mesa for couple years. I brought my 2014 Mercedes Benz CLS and a New Lexus GS. It is a slap In my face for a loyal customer to get treated like this. I am very upset my new car is all scratched up now. It’s a shame they do not offer any type of resolutions to keep their customers happy. But instead pointing a finger at me that I scratched my own car. This establishment needs to work on a better customer relations.
All I wanted was if they can try to get the scratches out from the hood. It would only take them 5 min. I know accidents do happen. I would be ok if they tried. But unwilling to satisfy a loyal customer is not a good business model. If they tried their best to resolve the issue, I said ok thank you for trying. Then I would not have to write about this. They made me feel like I was a liar. And I left their car wash with anger. They made me very upset because he pointed a finger at me for scratches on my own car and unwilling to resolve a simple issue.
I would like to let others know when this car wash have issues with cusotmers, they do not do anyting about it. They do not care about resolving issue with their customers.
