George S May started their assault on our company with a door to door marketing girl. She met our Supervisor who told her politely that we could not afford consulting services like hers and also explained that we have been struggling to market a product of ours (mistakenly thinking she might be interested in marketing with commision pay).

She left, and two or three weeks later came back with her boss. They bumped into the Owner of our small company, and talked him into a 'consultation' for a 'reduced' fee of $200.

One week later Glenn Wagner, "Executive Analysist," arrives from Nevada in a taxi. Our Supervisor greeted him and began to show him around the shop. Glenn was full of compliments, and agreed with everything we said was wrong. He asked me about the computers and I told him they were slow, and explained some of the problems we have had. He shook his head in amazement and told me that would drive him nuts.

He told me and the other workers that if we have any problems, to come talk to him. He was here to make life better for us employees. He said he was going to "seal our profit leaks" and get this place profitable, so that he could pass the earnings onto us. I tried to explain to him that the owner is already generous with us, and I would just like to see the place make some money. He didn't seem to understand me, and asked if it would be nice to make 5 dollars more an hour. That would be nice, but I knew realisticly the company wouldn't be very well off paying it's unskilled workers 14, 15 dollars an hour.

We had been skeptical of the idea of a consultant, but somehow by the afternoon we were starting to get sucked in, and starting to think this guy might be good for the company.

Meanwhile, Glenn was getting ready for his 'conference call' with the 'team.' All he did was read off the management's goals and hopes to the 'team.' One strange thing was that during the call he asked if we had a sexual harrassment policy, and learned that we don't. Not even one hour later, he casually asked our office manager out to dinner, and later, another employee. Both, of course, politely declined.

Anyway, most of the day was like the other reports have said. He spend hours behind closed doors with the Owner of our company, talking privately. The owner of our company is a 64 year old man who was a school teacher for 25 years, and is now undergoing cancer treatment. He is a very caring and trusting man, who has put years of effort into trying to get his patented invention to take off, without a lot of sucess.

The most sickening part of this whole ordeal, is that the owner invited Glenn to come home with him and stay in his guest house, instead of getting a hotel. Glenn accepted, and had the whole evening to brainwash our owner, and survey his property, and estimate how much money he could bleed him for.

THANKFULLY, me and the supervisor (who happens to live with me), finally had a chance to sit down and talk about the consultation, late that evening. We have both done telemarketing in the past, and were starting to feel skeptical about our consultant. We realized we had not asked for any qualifications, or even proof of identity from him. We thought his unprofessionalism in asking out girls and staying overnight with the owner was fishy, so finally I searched for 'consulting scams' on Google (as we could not even remember the name of the company Glenn worked for).

George S May International popped up as the second hit on Google, on rip off report. com. We both stayed up until 1AM, HORRIFIED at what we were reading, and disgusted that this scam artist was sleeping at the owner's house at that very moment.

The next day. In the morning we called the owner before work started, and tried to give him a quick run down of what we had learned. We asked if he had signed anything, and he said he hadn't. We had printed out several reports, and told him we had something for him to read when we all got to work.

When the owner and Glenn finally got to work (they had taken a side trip to tour the company we supply for on the way), we got the owner alone in his office, with our printed reports.

I think we actually had to de-program him. He objected that George May was in the Better Business Bureau, he had looked it up. He still wanted to hear the presentation from Glenn, stateing that it might be useful. We told him it was just a sales pitch designed to scare us, and was not even real. We gave him more time to read the reports, and finally we managed to convince him. We asked for permission to ask Glenn to leave, and got it!

Then the fireworks started! The owner said we weren't interested any more, and tried to hand the print-outs to Glenn. Glenn had a rebuttal ready, and claimed that the guy who wrote this stuff on the internet has a warrant out for his arrest.. but my supervisor wouldn't let him get a word in. He said "great, good. I don't care! I just want you to leave." Glenn was SHOCKED. He stood there with his mouth open and when he started to talk my supervisor asked if this was the part where he was going to refuse to leave. Glenn stuttered that of course he would leave, he just couldn't believe we didn't want to at least hear the presentation first!

From there it turned into a screaming match. Glenn was screaming bits of his pitch, telling us that we dont WANT to be sucessful, and if we want to stay in business we need an expert. That he is passionate about helping businesses like ours, and he feels SORRY for the owner, because my supervisor was standing in his way. It was horrendous. He demanded his 200 dollars for the survey, and we gave it to him. He had actual hate in his eyes as he packed up his junk and walked out the door. He didn't say goodbye, or even shut the door behind him. We shut it for him, and turned the deadbolt.

I am so glad that we found these reports, not a moment too late. Rip off report is the only website we could find that was not a George S May homepage, or a George S May employment add. I am not sure we would have been able to convice the owner (or even ourselves!) that it was a scam, without these reports.

George S May just finds out your hopes and fears, and fills you full of pipe dreams, based on your hopes. Then gives you a report, based on your fears.

Good job to the people at this website.
