George S. May Company is a complete scam!!!The entire process for clients is nothing more than an extremely high pressure sales pitch.

The company's work from the first contact is meant to do nothing more than keep the business owner off guard while determining how much cash and liquid assets the business has available. They will even probe personal finances of the owner(s). Of course they will spin this process as something which is valuable to the client. This work will determine how many hours and how many people their final sales pitch will include.

Make no mistake, the number of hours and/or personnel which are recommended to the client are completely and solely based on George S. May's assessment of the clients' ability to pay!!!

After the engagement is started, approximately 25% of the billed hours of any job are spent doing paperwork, phone calls and other administrative tasks required by the company in order to use against the client in case of problems. Again the consultants will spin this in a way to tell you it has some value to your business. In reality all this does is try to provide a basis to repel lawsuits against the company and to defend against refunding any fees to clients who might finally realize they are being deceived.

George S. May is really nothing more than a pyramid business where there are few at the top who make a significant amout of money for no work and everyone else gets screwed!!!

George S. May identifies and treats there employees the same way they identify and treat their clients. They prey on people who are vulnerable and/or desperate.

On the employee side they never hire anyone who is currently employed. If you have a job they will simply not even talk to you. They use the same high pressure, whirlwind methods to recruit employees as they use on the clients. For instance, you would answer one the thousands of ads they run every week in newspapers all over the country. You would be contacted within 48 hours and have an interview set up at a hotel close to a major airport. You would have the interview, the interviwer would be very enthusiastic and even call someone in Park Ridge and have you talk to them, right on the spot.

You would be contacted again, probably the very next day, Thursday or Friday. They always time interviews for the end of the week, gives you shorter window to consider the offer. They say, "we want to invite you to attend our "training class"".

Then it starts....They then say," You need to tell us right now if you are interested so we can plan". You say yes then they call you back in about one hour and say " we have a prepaid ticket for you at the airport just pick it up." They themn inform you that you must leave Sunday to be in class on Monday. Oh and by the way, you must bring with you a $1500 laptop, $200 portable printer and other associated hardware. You must also change your automobile insurance to add the George S. May Co. as a co-insured on your policy with limits no individual would ever need.

You charge thousands of dollars on your own credit cards every month in travel expenses. These are billed to the clients and are supposed to be reimbursed to you when you sumbit an expense voucher every 2 weeks. I spend hours every week argueing over expenses for which the company has already collected from the clients but George S. May refuses to pay the employee for.

This company is the worst!!! There tools are deceit and deception. Their stock and trade is threats, coericion and intimidation. Do not get involved with these people on any level!!!!

You ask how I know all this... I have been an employee for 18 months. I am disgusted at how they treat people and am preparing to leave the company as soon as I find another job. I am in the process of going to litigation over expenses which they have already collected from clients to pay for my travel and other expenses but George S May has now kept and said they are not going to reimburse me for.

Public beware!!!!!!

George S. May Company is a sham. I saw how their focus is on how much money they can bleed from a small business.

"Sick and Tired"'s comments about the unethical tactics of George S May Company are all true. They must run 1,000 through their training classes for every five people who stay with the company for more than two months. George S. May Company would like to think they are a more reputable company than their competitor in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, but they both feed in the same trough.

As a former business analyst with George S. May myself, I saw how their focus is on how much money they can bleed from a small business.
