George (Smith) Swilley is the middleman for an internet
scam via eBay. The first scammer opens a new eBay acct.
then with the stolen credit card asks the eBay seller if they would ship to his brother at a different address. The "brother" is George Smith Swilley. George and his wife Sweden sign for the package then take off the original label, then put a new label on the package and send it off out of the country.

Normally to Nigeria or Russia. I am reporting both George Smith Swilley and his wife Sweden to the authorities as they will not refund the $319 they stole from me. He told me to call the authorities and do what I have to do. This is both mail fraud, and stealing. I will probably be out my $319 but I do not want this happening to anyone else. BEWARE!

George Smith Swilley & Sweden Swilley are NOT Scammers & Victims like me UPDATE

#4Author of original report

Mon, June 21, 2010

After nearly a year, the laptop involved in the theft ring returned back to me about a month ago.  It had only a postal store address as the return, so we did not know where it had come from.  I received a phone call from (George) Smith Swilley a few days ago, asking me if I had received the laptop back.  Wow, I didn't know he had sent it back.  He was extremely nice and wanted to clear up all the problems with this mess.  He then proceeded to explain how he too got caught up in this internet theft ring mess.  Now I see he and his wife were both victims of a scam as well as me.

Apparently, Smith was only answering an ad to make some extra money from home, and was victimized.  He explained the entire details to me in great length and it now all makes sense.  The laptop had returned back to him recently from wherever it originally was sent and he wanted to make sure it got back to the rightful owner (me).  Smith and I were the true victims in this mess and the culprits prey on those of us who use the internet as a way to suppliment our income.  I have had numerous in-depth phone conversations with Smith, and understand the entirety of the scam.  A real website is created with real people on the other end of the phone lines.  It all looks legit, but is a cover.  We all could easily fall victim to this type of internet scam.

Rip off report does not give the option to remove a report if it has been found that all has been rectified, so I am posting this rebuttal to clear (George) Smith Swilley and his wife Sweden from the fraud claims. I do believe that they did not intentionally mean to handle and ship stolen property. I had asked him why he wrote a rebuttal against me with false accusations regarding my eBay business?  He had explained that the people on the website, assured him that was why I wrote the Ripoff Report.  Because I was an upset seller.  I explained the sitsuation to him and he explained his and now it all makes sense.  He was told great lies to believe the company was all on the up and up, and I explained how indracate the theft rings get via eBay and the web.

In a funny side note, when the laptop was returned, a lot of black dust was all over the laptop.  Apparently from traveling so far and for so long.  The black dust and no return address other than a postal store, and it being so long since the mess started, I called our local police department to see what I should do regarding the black dust.  I thought maybe it was something poisionous.  They sent an officer who called the fire dept., who called the haz mat team, who called the bomb squad.  I literally had my whole street full of police, the huge haz mat truck and guys in funny suits testing this black dust.  I had to strip down, take a shower and they took my clothes as well.  Turned out all good of course, and although at the time it wasn't funny, I look back now, and can't help but laugh.  I told Smith Swilley the story and he couldn't believe it either and how the mess just continued and s****.>

Glad this all worked out, and the laptop has been thrown away.  I didn't want any more bad vibes coming from that thing or even near my house.

Great life lesson for all involved.  Thank you Smith for clearing this all up.

George Smith Swilley fabricates lies!

This guy is a complete fraud! First of all, my item on eBay was
a BUY IT NOW. AND... SMITH SWILLEY did not purchase my item.  He
Had the stolen goods sent to his home, (signed by his wife), and
they are what he calls a FORWARDING company! He gets stolen
goods shipped to his home and he/she forwards the STOLEN goods
onto foreign countries, like Nigeria, and in this case Russia.
He said he was down on his luck, and embarrassingly called a "work at home" #
he found off the internet. He said they paid him a per package price
for each package he filled out customs forms for and shipped out of the
country "legally"...  How it works is a crimal ring, gets a REAL guys user ID
from eBay and their credit card info.  They purchase the item from real
sellers (me), then ask to send it to an alternate address (GEORGE SMITH SWILLEY).
Usually they give you some song and dance that the alternate address, is
for a gift for a friend, or in this case, he wanted to send my laptop to his
brother in college.  SCAM...

When I called SMITH SWILLEY and told him about the stolen goods he
received, he said "do what you have to do".  I called the Murrieta Police
Dept. and they have turned this over to the National Internet Fraud division.

Most likely, he will not get prosecuted, since it was only $319, but this does
need to come to light.  Plus, he his response to this is such a lie, it's scary!
He knew he was doing something wrong, and he should be charged as a co-conspirator!

Anyone who has been a victim of this person, please feel free to call me.  George Smith Swilley has generously supplied my phone # for reference.

Good luck & don't fall victim to this type of fraud.

False Accusations

My name is Smith Swilley and I do work part time for a third party logistics company and I would never "steal" anything from anyone. The complaintant (Michelle Kraft 805-479-8454) needs to take this matter up with the company I work for if a stolen credit card was in fact used in the purchase of her e-bay item. Of all the packages I have shipped, this is the first situation like this I've had to deal with. I do take issue with Michelle trying to attack my character, but most notably my wife's. I had the common courtesy to call Michelle (after receiving threatening phone calls from her) to try and help her out. Because she did not get what she wanted, she has resorted to smearing my name.

I have since contacted my supervisor out of concern for Michelle and it is my understanding that Michelle is upset about her auction closing out for an amount well below the price she thinks she should have received and there was no stolen credit card involved in the transaction at all. Her solution to this problem: extort money with repleat threats directed towards the person whom she feels wronged her.

I am very serious about business ethics and would likewise want buyers to beware of internet scams, so it is definitely surprising to see my name on this website under that very heading. Also, if I felt that there were laws broken and money was to be owed, I would go directly to the authorities instead of calling the person in question and making idle threats with charges of mail and internet fraud. Needless to say, these are very serious allegations and I intend to respond to both Michelle and ripoffreport.com for posting my personal information without my consent. Furthermore, my wife is off limits and is in no way complicit in my business. If you would like to respond to me, feel free.
