I was sitting behind a tractor trailer that was also stopped on an onramp because at least 60 cars were backed up for some reason. I was sitting still with my foot on the brake when I saw a gray blur coming at me in my rearview mirror. I was hit and the airbags deployed with rear impact. I was not knocked out. He picked up 3 of my wheels, and pushed my 30' until I hit the truck in front of me. Doing $6000 in damage to the truck. My car was totalled and I walked away to suffer problems later.

When the adjuster first called he wanted to "talk to me about the accident". I asked if he had the police report and he said yes. The guy was cited and I told him all the facts were right there and I could not speak to him about the accident only the car itself. He was not happy and time rocked on.

The adjuster offered me a sum to cover my car damage. I accepted by letter stating this was for car damage only. When the check and release came, it was a full and total release and had a power of attorney with it.

When I stated I could not sign the release as written and would not sign the power of attorney but would give a bill of sale and sign over the title. They informed me my attorney should call them.

I don't think I should need to give an attorney 1/3 of the car's worth to settle this part of the claim. They had rather pay all the attorneys than give me what is only fair: medical bills, cost of car and in GA pain and suffering appropriate to the injuries.
