My wife and myself are the victims.
On Saturday January 31st, we hired the following company:

Company: Creative Moving
Business Type: Local/Regional Moving Company
Carrier Operation: Interstate
Other Authority: Legal Household goods Carrier. Additional referenc
Locations Served: Regional, Local, National, International

to move our household goods from Kissimmee, FL to Las Vegas, Nevada for the agreed amount of $1025.00. I paid a deposit on USHIP.COM of $102.00. They picked up the items at my previous address on January 31st and I even gave them the inventory list. The agreed upon delivery date was Wednesday, February 4th 2009.

On Wednesday February 4th, I got a call from the owner saying that the items that they picked up was 4 times the amount on the list and that they currently have the items in Georgia, transferring them to another truck becuause the original truck broke down or had to go somewhere else. He then stated that he is going to have to require us pay more money because the items took up more space on the truck than was planned for.

He was demanding that we paid him $3500 and then he said he would accept $2250.. which is more than twice the amount that we had agreed upon. After fighting with him for an entire day, he agreed to go back to the price that he originally quoted because I threatened legal action. He then told me on Thursday that the goods will be delivered within 3-4 days. 3-4 days passed, no call from him nor the truck driver.

I called back and he stated that the driver had to make a few stops enroute to my location and it will now be 5-7 days delivery time. Everytime I call, I get the run around and the delivery time remains the same 5-7 days. They claimed the driver would call me.

The driver never called. It has been over 10 days from the time we are supposed to get a call from this "driver" but never did. We have nothing to sleep on, we have rented an apartment and it is empty. Our 3 year old son is sleeping on the floor and he is crying for his toys and his car bed. At this point, I really dont think our items are ever going to be delivered, which is why we are making this complaint. Please help us.

UPDATE: Today is February 20, 2009.. Still no delivery still no call. When we speak with them, its the same story. Last we heard, on Tuesday, they were in Arizona...thats 3 days ago and they were supposedly only 250 miles away. Yesterday, they were still in Arizona.. now claiming that the truck driver was fired for doing extra work without the bosses knowledge... and they are having another driver pickup the truck and deliver the items.. NOTE: I heard from uship.com that there is another Las Vegas shipment on that same truck and that person has filed report too.

Today, I called again.. they were supposed to deliver today. The next date is tomorrow. This has been going on since February 4th.

At this point, we dont think these guys have any intention of delivering our household items. These are all personal items such as shoes, clothing, our sons drawings from school, sofa set, plasma tv and some other stuff. (pictures too)

We are on the verge of filing a police report with the office that has jurisdiction over the last known whereabouts.

We need to get this on major news channels, CNN, FOX NEWS etc... We also want to get it out to the highway patrol in all the states that they are driving through and their home state as well to be on the lookout.

If you can help us, let us know.

Thanks

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sun, February 22, 2009

My name is Tony with Creative Moving. I too am a victim to this fiasco of a move. I trusted someone to do their job. Was the worse experience I personally have had directly dealing with someone in the moving industry. The worse communication ever, lie after lie is what it seems. Drivers have a role to play in communication. When a driver does not do his job. What can you do! If they lie you try to explain best you can. I was honest throughout this ordeal. Will continue to be until resolution regardless of this terrible move. I have done all that i could do for this customer and still i too am dragged through the mud too. Makes you want to think twice about being honest sometimes. They sometimes use it against you even if it is out of your control. Not all bad moves start with the mover. Not being at the pickup, shipping more than contracted to move is part of this ordeal. I am sorry the customier chose this format to vent his anger. I hate it more that I was mentioned. Maybe I should calm down before I typed this but too angry to let this go! ps. I am not an employee, no other category to pick from when you are a victim of circumstances too!
