I had GeoVera for five years.  I cancelled the policy last year after they raised my coverage limit (again) in order to increase my deductible.  This is a good trick as they will never pay out the limit as long as they can keep the deductible high enough.  I had the 15% deductible so I looked into the 10% deductible, but the coverage limit was almost twice the 15% limit so I would have had the same deductible in terms of dollars spent even with a much higher premium.

Don't throw your money away on this coverage as their number crunchers will make sure you never see a dime from a claim.  If an earthquake hit that was big enough to exceed the deductible, your house/community would be leveled and they would be out of business anyway.  This insurance also won't help you pay off the mortgage balance, it's only for actual repairs which you will certainly be paying for yourself.
