Mr.Horn agreed to complete a restorarion job and a 10x10 addition on my house. He is an acquaintance who has done work for some people I know so I trusted him.I asked Mr.Horn several times for a contract, but he began working on my house promising me a contract, which never appeared. He started working in September. After I gave him a very large deposit he did some work then stopped showing up for 5 months.

During this period of time I was injured with a broken knee and unable to live in  the mess he made in my home.He still did not show up.After a month I moved back into my construction site of a home,Mr.Horn began showing up randomly and completing very little work He started requesting more money so he could get a crew so I complied being desperate to finish the job.No crew ever arrived.Mr Horn finally gave me a proprosal in  April, which failed to include several things he initilally promised.

I gave him a chance to do the right thing but after 11 months and still living in a construction site,I had to find someone else to finish the job.He destroyed my yard.He disposed of masonary and dirt behind my shed, and left it there. He started several things but finished none of them.Sheetrock is half complete, duct work was not wrapped on ac unit, windows were installed but window sills were left unfinished. It took 4 days for him to do 1 and a half sides of siding on my very small house. He destroyed my home and my quality of life. He took advantage of a single woman, and was extremely dishonest. He left a huge mess for me to now clean up in my yard with a healing broken knee and other medical problems.

I had many distractions during this period of construction such as Superstorm Sandy,a  car accident resulting in a serious injury as well as a demanding job.Mr. Horn took advantage of these situations and used it for his financial gain.I feel if I did not let him go when I did he would have stayed here for another 11 months making a mess and trying to milk this job for more money. The contractor I hired gave me a time frame of 3 weeks and are charging me less then what Mr. Horn was still asking me for.Do not trust this man,he ruined my life.
