Complaint Review: Gerber Collision & Glass

Gerber Collision & Glass Work not done on time. Left me with auto rental charges. Denver Colorado

Gerber was told I was leaving town on a specific day, very early (6 am), several times.  They called 1 day before the last day I could pickup car.  Said car would be ready 3 days after my "latest date".  When reminded about my latest date, they acted like it was new information.  Told me they would call the next day at Noon to tell me the status of the repair. 

Gerber did not call at Noon.  I presumed the car was not to be ready.  Took a job for late that day (I am a photographer).  Gerber called at 4 pm, saying the car was ready.  I was too far away to make it to Gerber before their closing time.  I told them, and they said there was no way to pickup the car after they closed, nor would they bring my car to my home and pickup the rental car.

As a result, the rental car was returned when I returned to Denver, one week later.  Enterprise Rental charge me almost $200.

Safeco Insurance would not pay the extra charges.  Gerber refused to pay extra charges, even though the extra charges were due to their lack of communication and timeliness.
