Germain Toyota of Columbus Sold me a Lemon car that broke down within 23 days of purchase Columbus Ohio

I bought a 2015 Mustang from them on August 9th and told me they spent $2,500 on an inspection of the car. As soon as I drove it off the lot I got a check engine light (engine over-boost, 2 cylinder misfires, and intake leak) and airbag light, on September 1st, the car's engine blew in the middle of the highway, and oil leaked everywhere. I haven't even had the car for 30 days. The car was sold to me "as is" but in most states, there's always a 30-day window no matter what. If they guys don't repair, refund, or replace my vehicle, I will have to take the extra measure and go the legal route, as well as go to every reviewer there is (e.g. Better Business Bureau, News channels, etc.)

Did YOU Read Your Documentation BEFORE Agreeing To The Terms?

Did you see the $900+ bogus, add-on, phony fee added to the price? YOU WENT ALONG WITH THIS FRAUD??? Since the cannot be HONEST with you about the price of the car and make up the difference with a SLEAZY FAKE FEE, they have already showed you HONESTY and INTEGRITY are NOT in their operation. Secondly, as Coast very accurately stated, there is no thirty day "window" in any state I know of. You bought the car AS IS. Did YOU Read that disclosure in the "BUYERS GUIDE"? Did you even bother to READ in the BUYERS GUIDE" what AS IS means? It means there is no warranty and no free warranty service and YOU are responsible for any and all repairs. You can complain to anybody you want but the bottom line is YOU agreed to buy a car without ANYwarranty coverage, therefore you are not ENTITLED to free warranty co erage.

" in most states, there's always a 30-day window no matter what” -This is completely untrue. As the other commenter stated, you bought it as is (which you admit). You should have had it inspected yourself. You took the gamble and it didn’t pay off.

As-Is Is As-Is

What was the travel distance when you test-drove the vehicle prior to purchase?

In Ohio, there is no 30-day warranty on used cars that are sold in an as-is condition. Continuing to operate a motor vehicle with the check engine warning light on is operator negligence.

Happy motoring!
