We bought a 37,000.00 2005 used Cadillac XLR with 10,000 miles on it from Germain Toyota, salesman Rick Essig. 10K miles! We also paid $1,400.00 for the Gold Plus warranty. We were told by management and Rick Essig that the car came with a bumper to bumper warranty for 90 days. The warranty we bought we were told covered everything except normal items like brakes, wipers ect, fair enough. NOT! On the way home from buying the car a warning light came on that the sensor on the tire was not working. Took the car to Cadillac and were told $370.00 for the repair. Called Germain Toyota the dealer and were told by Jamie the GM they would not cover any repairs and it was just too bad. Deal with it. The $1,400.00 warranty also does not cover the repair so we are out $370.00 in the first five minutes of owning the car. Germain Toyota is your standard car dealer who would rob their own Mother for a buck. Beware, these guys at Germain Toyota are going to screw you any way they can.

Germain Toyota is a Rip-Off!

We contacted the Warranty Co. and we are getting a full refund.

We will also see to it that the entire web knows not to do business with these thieves.

I am a web designer and know how to make the top of search engines. Let the fun begin.

get a refund for a portion of the remaining warranty, if you'd like. Simply contact the warranty company and tell them you want to cancel, and receive a refund. (Pro-rated, of course.)

Let's face it, what good is having that warranty, right? Any money recouped from that warranty is better than nothing, correct? You can also go back into the dealership and have the finance manager who you worked with call the warranty company and help you to cancel it.

***VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure that YOU get the refund check from the warranty company, and it isn't sent to Germain Toyota, okay? Get everything in writing! And make sure you also talk to the person at the warranty company if you decide to go back into the dealership.

Good luck to you, & keep us posted.
