Complaint Review: Gerry Black & Associates

I opened a transmission shop in Draper, Utah after 14 years in Lindon, Utah.  I purchased some high-dollar diagnostic equipment and lifts from Gerry Black.  I ordered two USA made 15K lb. Worth brand lifts.  After months of being told excuse after excuse, the lifts show up and are installed.  The were cheap Asian-built lifts that were leaking and falling apart within months.

Unbeknownst to me, Gerry Black didn't pay the electrician the $1,700 he owed.  They put a lein on the property and won't remove it until I pay.  Ron Bish promised to sign an affidavit to the effect that he witnessed Gerry Black tell me "Don't worry, I'll take care of it" and "it" was the electrican's fee.

The diagnostic equipment is non-functional and he kept parading alleged experts around to fix the problem, which was never resolved.  The equipment was not new, but returned merchandise from another automotive business who sent it back because it didn't work.

All in all, I got burned for $32,000.
