Get a Moving Company stole over $700 from me Pompano Beach Florida
My husband and I arranged to have Get a Moving Company move us from New York to Texas in August of 2006. We put down a deposit of approximately $700.
A few days before the scheduled move date we had not heard anything from them about what time the movers would show up. We called them over and over again for days and left several messages with no reply. Finally the night before the scheduled move date they answered the phone and told us they would call us back in the morning.
We tried calling them several times the next morning and they would not answer. Later that day they did pick up the phone and still gave us the run around, saying they would check on it and call us back. At that point we had to cancel the move because it was obvious that they had no intention of moving our stuff that day and my husband had job interviews scheduled for that week in Texas.
We had to hire a new moving company at the last minute to move us down there, which cost us almost twice as much as the price Get a Moving Company had quoted us. Get a Moving Company refused to give us our deposit back and ended up stealing more than $700 from us.
Get a Moving Company has horrible customer service when they can actually be bothered to pick up their phones, and they steal from people. Look them up on the Better Business Bureau's website and see just how many unsatisfied customers these people have.
