Complaint Review: Get It Done Transportation

Get It Done Transportation Stole my deposit, claimed to get refund, but never received anything - Awful communication and company! Tamarac Florida

I sent out a request for a quote to various brokers to find a carrier to ship my vehicle cross country for a job I'm starting in Palo Alto on March, 2nd. I got a several quotes, but received one from Get It Done Transportation that seemed competitive and in their email they linked a website called Transport Reviews, which stated they had nearly 70 reviews and 5 stars. I called David and gave him my credit card information over the phone for a deposit of $245.00.
 
After doing further research on this company I realized they were NOT accredited with the BBB had a D rating and awful reviews on websites like Yelp. Also, the reviews on Transport Reviews are so fake it's hilarious. Nobody cares that you're "family owned" and the website in general is incredibly sketchy. Therefore, I was worried I made a mistake and didn't want to deal with any possible hiccups. I asked David for a full refund, which according to their terms and services I was able to do  if I hadn't been assigned a carrier.

After reaching out to David he claimed I was already assigned a carrier and that a full refund wasn't possible. However, there was not any notification to me I was assigned a carrier for my vehicle, even though their website claims to instantly notify you via email once you are assigned someone. I was safe too assume I never was assigned a carrier and could therefore get a full refund.

After clearly stating my point and jumping through several hoops, David agreed to a full refund and said I would get it no later than Friday, Feb. 13th by end of day. However, nothing has come through and no communication or effort has been made. I feel like I fell victim to this man's poor business practices just like the people from the awful reviews I read. Luckily this man didn't take my vehicle across the country. All I wanted was a refund.
