Get Rung BUYERS BEWARE- Shipping time is deceptive; customer service is rude, nasty and racist Mesa Arizona
On 12/04/08 I placed an order for interlocking mats; Receipt Number: 1638-1299-2643-4841. According to their website shipping was supposed to take 5 business days, which means an arrival date of 12/11/08: http://www.getrung.com/shipping.html; which i confirmed by calling the company on this day and speaking to Shawn the owner. On 12/09/08 - I emailed the company to get my tracking info so that i may have some available to receive. An email was sent to me later that night saying that my order was lost and never processed and they have shipped it out. When i tracked 1Z7R988W0357082896 with UPS it showed that it would take an additional 5 days to be delivered. I contacted the owner the very next day and pleasantly speaking told him the situation and the inconvenience of waiting 5 more days- See i am moving this sat and NEED those Mats before then. He spoke very rudely and told me that the computers have been down for a month and orders were being lost. I then informed me about the shipping advertisement on the web and that he should have shipped it overnight or 2/3 days to rectify the problem. He told me that "typically" it takes 5 days but it's longer. (which is false advertisement). I then told him that he should compensate his customers for the inconvenience b/c that it was unfair to those who pay for a service. He started to get nasty and say that i was "one of those people" always looking for a discount and that he would gladly cancel my order since i really didn't want it. I believe this business should be investigate not only for its false advertising but for the legitimacy, since he claims he is not register with BBB b/c he does not need to practice any customer service practices or rights. In addition, company was upset that i reported him to BBB and wrote me a nasty and harrassing letter. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

I am also an unhappy consumer who had the horrific displeasure of attempting to do business with Get Rung. While my experience was a little different than the previous described I am not at all surprised by what this unhappy customer wrote. I wouldn't doubt that every detail of her account is accurate. I had the misfortune of coming across the getrung.com website and assuming that all stock information was up to date when I made my order. When I didn't receive my items for 2 weeks I was informed that the items were out of stock when I ordered them - which was absolutely not the case. The ordering system is highly faulty and inaccurate. But what was worse was the customer service from the owner of Get Rung. Not only did he blame me for the ordering problem but he refused to see how I was inconvenienced by the delays in delivery. He offered absolutely no apology or gesture to compensate. Conversely, he then took advantage of the situation and offered to have me send him more money in order to get an alternate product he had 'in stock'. He at no time accepted any responsibility for the errors on the webpage and ultimately insinuated that I did not update my browser correctly which was absolutely incorrect. He kept my money for 2 weeks before I finally cancelled my order and found a more reputable business with equally competitive prices. And I also filled a BBB complaint which is of course not the first against Get Rung. I provided the company with several opportunities to provide professional customer service but they failed at every opportunity. Ultimately the owner returned email to me describing me with explicates. Simply the most deplorable display of professionalism imaginable.

Dear readers of this report...I am writing this not to add credibility to this claim but rather to have a clean slate on record. There are a great many things mis-written in this complaint, starting from the title claiming racism. I have no idea where that came from, could not be further from the truth. That is a perfect example of someone trying to make as many vindictive points as possible in a short time. I can state that the claims of computers being down for a month and false advertising are skewed as well. What we tried to explain to this customer was that our processor, PayPal, was having some issues and some orders were lost...we did not know they were there so we could not ship them. Once discovered, the product was shipped that very day.
As for this customer claiming that they spoke "pleasantly" and that we spoke "rudely", it was quite the opposite. In this case, this customer simply called and asked for overnight shipping for free, product for free, and would settle for nothing less. She was incredibly demanding and vindictive in her speech. We offered to simply refund her money and not ship the product, but she chose to keep the purchase in tact. She then threatened to smear us everywhere she could, as in here and the BBB...what can you do, taking a cue from our government, we don't negotiate with terrorist either.
Please don't take the rantings of one person to heart when reviewing your business with a company, seek other sources of more credible reference. For us, here are some...

Finally, contact us. Our phones are staffed 7 days a week. Customer service is our number 1 priority, tied in first place with Quality, Price, and Execution. You can never please everyone all of the time, but we try to do our best. Sometimes there are just times when someone cannot be pleased.
Lastly, sources like this website simply damage good businesses when one individual goes off half cocked. You never hear of all the good things that companies do (we work with Make-A-Wish foundations, help establish self-defense courses for women, sponsor Church organizations of many faiths, and more). Sites like these purely allow one individual a platform to launch an attack. Had this claim just stated there were problems and she got poor customer service that would be one thing. But, to claim all the things being claimed is just the act of mounting an attack for spite.
