getaroom.com $50/night added charge with no detailed explanation in advance Texas

Firstly, when you google the hotel you want, this site comes up first, the site looks like the hotel's website, when you call it announces "Reservation line" as if you're still contacting the hotel itself. They charged my account a total amount which included $50/night referred to as "Tax Recovery Charges and Service Fee". Over the phone it is impossible to get a customer service person, not surprisingly you can only get sales representatives. So I had to go through them. I was told that the "service fee" was for hotel services like maid service, etc. WHAT! Of course, that's always included in the price of the hotel! I had to wait 45min. finally get a customer service rep who told me the only way to get an explanation of the charges itemized was for them to send it by email and if I disagreed I would have to reply to the email. They sent me the exact same confirmation email that had all the added fees lumped (i.e. not itemized) under the category of "Tax Recovery Charges and Service Fee". ​
