getresponse LOCKED ME OUT OF ACCOUNT

I signed up with getresponse and they requested my cell# to confirm my identity, which I refused. I don’t give my cell # out to anyone, period. They could have verified my account with my home #, but they refused to do it. Thankfully they let me verify my account via mailing address and email, which is laughable, because it really doesn’t confirm anything, as anyone could have provided that information as well. All was well to proceed, or so I thought.  

After I spent time creating my first newsletter and sent it (or so I thought), I was notified almost soon after that my account was locked, but they wouldn’t exactly say why. So my newsletter wasn’t sent out.  When I contacted them to ask why, they didn’t provide a valid reason for locking my account. At this point I’m unable to access my contacts and I’m angry.

NOW THEY ARE HOLDING MY CONTACT LIST HOSTAGE! This company then turned around and asked for a photo ID in order for me to access my account! I’ve used other email companies before and NEVER experienced this madness.  At this point I refused to upload my license and asked them to cancel my account.

I then received ANOTHER request to verify my account after I already had, in order to cancel it! I’ve since signed up with another company and was able to successfully send out my newsletter, and they didn’t require a DNA sample to do so. BOTTOM LINE:  STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY; THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A HEADACHE! I don’t know how they are in business, as their incompetence is staggering. Luckily I hadn’t given them any payment info at this point.
