I joined gibson trust in November of 2001 and signed up with a "Sergio Alexis" (who no longer works there). For the first few months, my payments were made but late. In june, no payment was made and I called and spoke to a counselor, Mark Lewis, who said that he will look into it.

After that incident, I received in October 2002 another bill from my creditors stating that the last payment they had received was in August and that they were going to drop me from the program. I called customer service today (11/06/02) and told them this. The rep I spoke to, told me that all he could do was contact my creditors to see if they'll agree to drop my rates and that he had no way of assuring me that the payments will be made. He even suggested that if i wrote a letter to the board of directors and they refused to refund my money, just forget about it or file a suit.

He was very nonchalant and did not give a d**n. I have decided to file a lawsuit against gibson trust. I will also call the Florida State Attorney's Office, but I hear they are dragging their feet. I will continue to fight until I get my money back and see Gibson Trust shut down for good.

MISDIRECTED ANGER

#6UPDATE EX-employee responds

People...Please be civilized when making comments to and about former Gibson Trust employees who are kind enough to post messages on this site. The ones who have posted messages were obviously fed up with what Gibson was doing to its' customers as well as its' employees. The notion that we are, in some way, trying to protect the interest of the company is ridiculous. You must be cognizant of the fact that these former employees might actually be able to help you in a class action law suit. In the eye of the law, insider testimony is always stronger than "he-said, she-said" banter from disgruntled victims.

Also, please keep in mind that YOU the customer are somewhat responsible for your situation. YOU signed the service agreement that basically sealed your fate. If you would have read it carefully, you would have noticed that it DOESN'T GUARENTEE ANYTHING. If you would have read it carefully, you wouldn't have signed it. In addition, had you done some research before signing up with the company, you may have avoided this situation. The Better Business Bureau is a wonderful resource and their report on Gibson would have influenced your decision to sign up with Gibson.

With that said, Gibson was a complete rip off. I really feel sorry for all of the people that they have affected with their lies and misrepresentation of debt consolidation.

REMEMBER, THE FORMER EMPLOYEES ARE HERE TO HELP YOU, NOT TO PROTECT THE INTEREST OF GIBSON TRUST.

To the ex-employee of Gibson Trust that wonders why I would care so bad.

I care alot about what is happening to people and I fought for 1 1/2 years to get my money back!!!
It took a long time of never giving up to finally get our refund on 10-15-02.

You seem to know alot, so please tell us what Gibson Trust instructed you to do while working for them.

You can never make me believe that you didn't know what was going on in this corrupt company.
If you truly feel sorry for all the victims of Gibson Trust you would have said something before now.

By the way, I did report that I got our refund from Gibson Trust. It still is very wrong that it took so long to get it.

I will always care alot about what happens to all the other victims of Gibson Trust and do what ever I can to assist them with their battle.
You should try and help all the victims by reporting to the Florida Attorney Generals Office all that you know so that these scum balls can be prosecuted and hopefuly sent to prison where they belong!!!

You must be a top person from that company in order to know that they finally refunded our money.

You should be able to offer alot of information on the behalf of all the victims of this company.
I am sure you know me very well, Disgruntled ex-employee!!! I was your biggest thorn and I will continue to be for all the other victims.
Maybe I better be careful what I say here.
I hear there may be some connections to the mafia.
Is someone gonna put a hit out on me for standing up for what is right?

I am sure they would get away with it,because I even think our own Florida Attorney Generals Office may have it's hand in the cookie jar, too!!!
Why don't you expose your name on this site?
All of us victims have to expose our names in order for our complaint to be posted.
Why are you any different?

Your company knows where I am and pretty much everything about me.

I do not believe for one moment that Gibson Trust is shut down.

If it is true, then they are probably planning to just re-open under a new name because they have gotten too much bad attenetion under the Gibson Trust name.

If they shut down, I doubt that the Government did it.

They probably closed up shop on their own.
They are not done in my opinion. You just watch and they will be up and running under a new name but with Mr amd Mrs. Peter O'toole directing the operation. That is what I think will happen.
I would like the so called ex-employee to write here and tell us all about what he or she was instructed to do while being employed by Gibson Trust?

I would also like to ask why they signed their response as a disgruntled employee.

How could anyone work for a company like Gibson Trust and not be appalled by the way the customers are treated.

When you found out how Gibson Trust operated, you should have reported them to the Florida Attorney Generals Office and quit on your own!!

If Gibson Trust thinks it's over by having a so called ex-employee write that Gibson Trust is closed down and everyone will not be getting their money back, they have another thing coming!!
Everyone please listen up!!! Go after the people who are in charge of Gibson Trust and go after the Florida Attorney Generals Office for not doing anything about what Gibson Trust ripping off and misleading people!!!

I feel another news story coming on here!!
This time it should be a bigger media like 20/20
or 60 minutes.

Lets all expose these rotten people who prey on and terrorize it's victims!!

Just because someone wrote on this web site that Gibson Trust is closed down, Don't think that you have to give up.

In fact, I think the real fight should just be starting!!!

Don't let them even get a chance to reopen the same scam operation under another name.

GIBSON TRUST HAS BEEN SHUTDOWN

FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO TO SAY THAT GIBSON TRUST HAS BEEN SHUTDOWN AS OF TODAY. I REALLY FEEL BAD FOR THE REMAINING CLIENTS OR THE CLEINTS THAT ARE TRYING TO CANCEL THEIR ACCTS. BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT BE GETTING ANY OF THERE HARD EARNED MONEY BACK. THE PHONE LINES WILL BE DISCONNCTED SOON AND THATS THE END OF IT. YOUR BEST BET IS TO CALL YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPT AND FILE A REPORT.
