Gill's Landscaping, Inc. has many bad business practices. Cheating their customers is the first and foremost. They do not hesitate to accept an overpayment and hide it. One of their largest accounts paid an invoice twice at the beggining of last year in the amount of $ 30,000.00 and instead fo returning the overpayment or crediting the account the owner Brian Gill had a dummy invoice created to apply the money and deposit it to his account.

They charge for seven applications of a lawn fertilization program and you are lucky if you get four or five. During snowstorms they love to inflate the amount of salt applied and bags of calcium used since they bill on a per bag and ton price.

Man hours for labor are always billed at more than the job actually required. Product prices are doubled and then a profit percentage is added to all work quotations.

They will half finish your job and once all money is collected they will not return your phone calls or finish your job unles threatened by a lawyer or taken to court.

As if cheating their customers isn't enough they find loopholes to cheat everyone they come in contact with. The owner cheats on his personal taxes by trying to hide his and his wifes elaborate spending as a business expense usually disguised at something other than what it really was.

For example, a business check used at Ethan Allen for furniture for their childrens bedroom in the amount of $ 3,600.00 was posted as office furniture, which is ridiculous considering the office is about 600 square feet and has no more room to move let alone place additional furniture. This is just one of many, many examples. The business financed the owners wife's breast augmentation surgery through money transfers to personal accounts disguised as many different business expenses.

They took the opportunity to commit insurance fraud when a company vehicle loaded with a trailer and equipment was involved in an accident. The insurance company asked for invoices for the original equipment which Gill's could not provide. So Gill's had one of it's suppliers fax a quotation for the new equipment. When it cam time to fax it to the insurance company to recieve the check to purchase new equipment Gill's had their supplier create a bill with serial numbers from the original quotation and inflate the costs of the equipment for a total of close to $ 4,000.00 more. And no questions asked the insurance company prodused a check the same day for the amount on the re-created bill.

These are just some of the many things that make me ill about this business, trust me when I tell you there are many more that could go on for probably days. A book could be written. I just think it is so wrong since there are so many honest and hardworking people and businesses out there, that Gill's should continue to profit and support the greediness of Brian and Lori Gill.

To all, these guys are special!! It is to bad that they had a bad experience with a past worker. Let me tell you this much we commend there hard working crews for a beautiful bit of paradise they have given us. Everyone worked tiredlessly, even in the rain, to complete our hardscape and garden. Our backyard has gone from grass seedlings and straw on a small knoll to what we believe is an incredible oasis. Many thanks to the hard working crew for making everything turn so perfectly. A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER KEN AND PAT ALSTON

The person who wrote this damaging report made her bed and has to sleep in it. You can't go around and make attacks on people and business and then decide, oh, I was just mad and wanted to vent. You said some serious things in your report which could not only hurt the company financially but also could bring criminal charges against them. Take responsability for your actions. I hope the company sues you for slander. You say you had no intiention of hurting the company, Bull Sh;;t! That was your exact intention!! I'm glad this site won't remove your report. It shows they are serious about getting the word out about problem business. Point is don't write a report unless it's true. Don't make false statments about others besause your angry. Grow up!!

Karen Smith, a former employee of my company was fired in early 2003 for stealing money, credit card fraud and fixing the books for her unexplained company expenses.

After not supporting her unemployment benefits she out of spite wrote a report which was defamatory and, she later admitted in writing were completly false.

Posted below is a copy of the e-mail Karen Smith wrote to the Editor@ripoffreport.com

Dear Editor,

I have sent you numerous request for removing the report i wrote in march regarding Gill's Landscaping, Inc. You hade me answer a whole list of questions only to tell me that you will not remove my report. As part of the agreement I have come to with Gill's the report must be removed. It is damaging their reputation. That is not what I intended to do.I was just letting of some steam and never thought any one find it. Regardless of the fact, everything in the report was a complete fabrication. None of it is true. Gill's has been around for quite some time in our area and has grown in size and customer base due to the fact thatit is a good and respectable business and it is run in that way. Most of there customers are long time customers and you can not keep customers if you are doing bad business. I was angry at Brian Gill the owner and the report I wrote was meant to be a personal attack but time passes and you get over it and move on with your life. That is the only thing that all parties would like to do and the only thing holding us back is the fact that you refuse to remove this report. It was my report in the first place and now I want it gone, it would not be ther if it were not for me, and like I said none of it is true anyway. I will wait to hear back from you.

Thank You,
