This company tells you you'll get 2 videos for $9.99 plus a bonus video for free, they take your info. then to your suprise you'll be charged every month thereafter for junk (for lack of a better word). The product is bull%&$# and so are there policies.

I have responded with rebuttals and NO ONE wants to read my reply. I sent a complaint to the ftc about this company.
1. Does the company have a right to put it in their commercial and try to "fool" the viewing audience.
2. Even though its in their commercial about preview and cancel, I've ordered in the past and agree with previous postings that some of the videos aren't the greatest.
3. I can understand if different consumers order a video, specifically stating the amount and not getting what they ordered.
4. I too, ordered playboy direct (4) videos and since making them cancel haven't received a tape in the mail.
5. They say we the people are stupid and can't read the what the commercial says.
6. What does Calif state law say about advertisement?
7. This topic will never end!!!!!!

We rate this company as having an unsatisfactory business performance record based on a pattern of unanswered delivery related complaints. Complainants allege receipt of unordered merchandise and unauthorized credit card charges.
Some complainants report placing orders for selected videos, then receiving additional unordered videos along with unauthorized debits or charges to their credit cards. In some cases, customers complain they receive no delivery at all; however, their credit cards are still charged. The company responds to some complaints by issuing credits or refunds as requested. Other complaints regarding delivery issues are addressed by shipping, or re-shipping orders.
Some complaints remain unresolved, meaning the customer was not satisfied with the company's response. Many complaints remain unanswered. The Federal Trade Commission's Mail Order Rule allows the seller 30 days to ship ordered products to the buyer unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase. If the seller cannot ship within the 30 day period, they are required to notify the buyer in writing of the delay, and give the option of waiting, or having their money returned within 7 days. Credit card payments must be credited within one billing cycle.
If you have received unordered merchandise, according to federal law, the merchandise may be kept and viewed as a free gift. We suggust sending a thank you letter to the source of the delivery advising them you have received the merchandise, and that if pick up is not arranged at their expense within 10 days, your intent is to keep the delivery as a gift. Any unauthorized charges should be immediately disputed with your card issuer. The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or disapprove of any product, service or company.
