I went to Glamour Shots in Bridgewater NJ to take pictures of my children as a gift for family. I was made to sign a document that I was there for pictures and was responsible for payment in full. I was never given a copy of what I was made to sign.

I waited over one hour for the photographer who had three appointments all at the same time. The owner/manager was on the phone the whole time giving some woman the run around about the pricing and claiming his brother was the owner(which I later found out was a lie...he was the owner).

After 4 hours of waiting, being rushed and having no more patience I was told it would take 10 minutes to view the pictures. I had no prior experiance so I did not know how much things would cost. I was quoted a price of $595 for a package and then told it was on sale for $385. When I asked for the breakdown the owner again stated the contents of the package no individual price.

I went back a week later and went throught the same horrible process with my sister but she refused to buy a package and since there were only one or two good pictures he told her that each pose was only 39.99. When I went home and called about my reciept I was told that I also paid for 29.99 for a VIP card, $50 for proofs you could never use, and $65 for one picture to be colorized (9.99 in Sears).

I was never told the price or given the option not to purchase these things...I was told it was included in all the packages. The reciept does not give a breakdown and when I asked I was told that the coupon you see deducted was for those things. Later I found out the coupon only deducted what they put in. So if he told me it was $400 they would reduce the amount.....all illegal.

I went and had pictures done for my fiance at a glamour shots in Hawthorne California. The manager-Brandy Crow was putting together a package for me. I ordered one 8x10, and two 5x7. She asked if I wanted proofs and I said yes-she said no problem. She did not tell me she would charge me $125.00 for them and this charge did not appear on my bill. She went on to charge me for glam-touch (airbrushing) for each sheet for $75.00 when I never said I wanted it and she never asked me. When she charged me I saw one total sum of 427.59. I was fine with the price because I thought that's how much the photos cost. I would not have approved of it if I had known I was going to be charged for items I did not want to pay for!

I called up the manager the next day after thinking about the price that seemed so high and asked her if she charged me for proofs. She said 50.00 only.(Later I found out through an employee that she charged me 125.00)! I asked her after looking at the bill closer why she charged me for glam touch when I never said I wanted it. She said she thought I wanted it!

On the bill it said :There are no refund. Store credit only. If for any reason you are not happy we will gladly retake your portraits or exchange them for a nominal fee.

When I went to see the pictures that were ready I said I was unhappy with the pictures. I was willing to pay the small nominal fee and wanted to have them done over without the glam touch. I wanted store credit for the glam touch and for the proofs that I was billed for since I was under the assumption from the manager that they were free. She refused and said that I could get a different pose but I couldn't get store credit on anything. I pointed out the bill and she said that she would lose money if she gave me store credit since the lab wouldn't reinburse her for the removal of the glam touch. That's not my problem.

Their policy states that if I'm unhappy I can get store credit! She has ignored my phone calls. When I call the store her employees have been rude and refuse to let me talk to her. I also called up the owner of that store Laura Marcus several times and have not recieved any phone call from her either.
