After receiving assurances that the ring being considered would be 4 grams, I placed an order(Sept. 17th, 2014). Received ring (Oct. 3, 2014); it weighed 2 grams. I returned the ring to the US returns center listed on their webpage. USPS tracking indicated that it was received by them on Nov. 5th, 2014. 

As of today, Dec. 15th, no refund has been received. Calls to their customer service number have not been answered by a rep, just a message to leave name & number or go to the website for email contact. No one called; never spoke to a person; no response to emails. Sent letter with copies of all proving documents to Mr. Harry Brady on Dec. 2, 2014. No response.

Business directory states only 5 employees; three directors - Thomas Brady, Harry Brady, an unnamed director and two others. At this point, I must assume that they are running a fraudulent operation; selling substitute goods, and when returned, keeping the funds. My mistake was not checking them out beforehand.

This is my first dealing with an Ireland based company, and it is obviously been a disaster. These people are dishonest, and reprehensible. I still want the refund rightfully due, of $238.38 US. My next contacts will be with the local police (Guarda) as well as the Consumer Complaint commision of Ireland. They will need to answer to them.

The Director of the company has been in contact with me about this issue.

His explanations as to why it happened have been satisfactory. A now former employee played a role in the mixup.

His offer to make good has been over and above normal customer service and although unexpected, greatly appreciated.

His company reviews elsewhere are exemplary as well as numerous.

Confidence has been restored in my opinion.

Do not hesitate to purchase from Glencara Jewlery.

I am James Morrison.

This is an update to my original report.

The refund was finally received in January of 2015, 4 months after the initial order and two months after it was in their possession.

I therefore retract the acusations of fraud and dishonesty, however the experience was extremely agrevating.

A recent attempt has been made for me to renmove this report with consideration.

However except for the refunded amount, the long delays and lack of communication holds true.

Buy at your own risk.
