I went to Glendale Nissan to see if I could get a fair deal and trade-in on my current vehicle for a new automobile and I wanted to go from an SUV to a sedan style car. I went there because of a radio add advertisement stating they were wiling to discount their new cars up to $5,000 off dealer invoice or sticker. It was very catchy radio ad. Once I arrived at 1:30 p.m. I was greeted at the door by Fernando Chacon Salinas. He wanted to know why I had stopped in and pretended to not know about the radio ad and even questioned if this was President's day already which is why the ad was airing because of the speacial deals. He immediately got defensive and began explaining that only auto's which stickered above

a certain price were the ones they were mentioning but the ad does not specify what he was intending to say. I further explained that What I was searching was a sedan which would equate to a Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and what they carried Nissan Altimas. He wanted to go get an estimate on my trade which was a 2011 GMC Acadia. They wanted to know how much I owed on the loan. After I told them they immediately went defensive and tried to convince me that hte car was severly upside down and the car I was shopping for was unattainable besed on the price point I needed to stay at monthly paymet wise. Each time I asked a question they made me wait at Fernando's desk for 30-45 minutes before they

came back with more bad news on why I could not attain the car I went there to try to purchasdee which was a Black Nissan Altima. They kept swaying and suggesting that I should look at the Nissan Sentra instead. After test driving a couple of Sentras I told them that my wife would not be happy with that car. They insisted and kept showing me only Sentras and told me I could not afford the Altima or it would be closer to $28-30k to get into one. They told me that my car was only worth $6,000 less than what I owed so I told them I was not interested in losing $6,000 on my trade. I told the that the timing of this was probably not right and that i would have to shop again later in the year when I owed less

on the vehicle. They insisted that they would give me a great deal on a suped up Sentra with many bells and whistles. Theyshowed me a fraudulent sticker price on the vehicle which would make one think the price being offered was approx. $21,000 + tax and title work. They told me they would throw in oil changes and warranties to make sure it was a great deal. I told them I was not interested in warranties but only in the very best price I could possibly get because my strategy was to save money over what I was already paying. They assured me an Altima woas priced too high for what I was trying to accomplish. After being there many hours (about 5 total) I told them I had health issues and I had to leave

to get something to eat. They still had my keys, license and insurance card during this time as this was their sales strategy to wear down the customer in order to make a spontaneous decision on a car which they had inteest in buying while losing patience becasue my bllod sugar began to drop impairing my decision making process and ability to make an informed and logical deicision. I asked for my keys and credentiasl to be returned to me and each tine I wads assured that it  would only be a couplke of minutes and we would be done and have a deal I would love on the table 2.5-3 hours while all along I was getting drowsier drowsier and only was motivated to save money. They finally came with a deal

which they made me think was rock bottom a sentra for $20500 brand new 2016 and with $1,000 down they would give me $13,500 for my trade making the deal affordable for me. I asked repeatedly to see if they could strike a deal for a Altima and I was assured they could not make the Altima wotk because the lowest cost one they had was roughly $28,000 and would be out of my price range monthly payment wise. I beleievd them to their word and took the deal so I could finally leave after spending my entire afternoon and into the evening hours trying to get them to sell me a decent car for my wife. After I went into the finance managers office is when I first discovered that he vehicle they were selling

to me was a 2015. I asked about it and they said it would not matter because it was a betterdeal than the 2016. I asked again about the price, they assusred me it was the best price available to anyone. Once I signed and drove the vehicle home, I went on a website called cars.com and did a search for both model vehicles, Snetras and Altimas within a 20 mile search from my home. This dealership kept coming up in the search as hgaving the most affordable cars of that style and model and brand new 2015 and 2016 start6ing as low as $17,000 for altimas and $13,000 was Sentras with less miles than the one they sold me. I mean a Black Sentra 2015 with 12 miles for $13,500 + tax and title available on the internet.

I did not have access to the internet at the dealership and they did a good job making sure I coulkd not get in my vehicle and leave weather it was to get something to eat or jsut h*o home without first signing a contract for a new car. When I returned today 1 day later and only 90 miles put on the car, they assured me I could not rescind on the deal and it was already too late to cancel and I could not get my trade because the deals were funded my GMC had already been paid off. All lies at this point and Abe the finance manager told me that I had no consumer rights to canecel the contract I dsigned the evening before and that I should seek legal assistance if I felt I needed it but the de3al was closed and end of story, I could sue if I wanted he would not help or rescind my deal because it was too late.

Anytime you trade in a car you still owe money on, that amount needs to be paid off.  The dealer does this and adds that amount to the contract for the new car.  End result?  You pay for two cars but drive one.  There is nothing fraudulent about that.  Its a fact.  They were actually doing you a favor by not selling you your first choice of a car.
