Glenn Mondo is the most misanthropic disgruntled unhappy uncongenial "commissioner" I have ever had the displeasure of having my small claims cases hear by! Unfortunately, I am in court 5 to 10 times per year suing various parties in small claims court, and won over 98% of my cases. I have been in front of at least a dozen judges, commissioners and judge pro tems.
Glenn Mondo has been the worst, he's a jerk, talks down to, interrupts and occasionally yells, deplete of common courtesy and people skills, every time I've witnessed he's in a sour mood when I've had cases heard in front of him.
I have won virtually every case except two in front of Glenn Mondo but have to tolerate his attitude, negativity and constant cutting me off mid sentence, but don't you dare interrupt him! I have an idea Glenn, why not talk to people the way you would outside the court room, with courtesy and respect!
Today, I just received a notice from the court on my most recent case where I sued two defendants for services rendered and defamation per se, which means in Latin ON ITSELF: https://www.justia.com/trials-litigation/docs/caci/1700/1704/ Two cases I filed against defendants who authored the following libelous defamatory untrue report about myself and my company online: LIES LIES LIES!! All xx, (me), and Steve do is LIE!
They take pride in ripping people off by claiming they did services which never even happened. (me) and this company are absolute con artitsts. We hired this company January 2018 they cleaned the pool/filter the very first visit.
March 2018 they claimed they cleaned the filter yet again. Funny because pool filters are on average are only needed to be cleaned twice a year. Intersting how mine supposedly needed to be cleaned January and March 2018. When I called xxx service I spoke to Steve "manager" he because EXTREMELY deffensive and couldn't tell me why the service was supposedly done yet again.
He said he'd speak to Gabriel the individual who cleaned our pool and call me back. This company leaves door tags upon completion of their services. Well I still have my door tags from the THREE months we even had this joke of a company and NONE say they cleaned the filter nor did addtional services.
Steve's response to all this "it's hard to get your approval if you're never home" interesting Steve you have my phone number and my email you couldn't reach out that way? We had a new pool cleaing service company come in March 2018 who told us the prior company completely lied to us and did nothing they claimed they did.
SURPRISE SURPRISE.... (me) xxx started emailing claiming he was an attorney and being extremely verbally abusive and demanding. This guy is an absolute crook!!!! BEWARE OF xxx!!! GOOGLE this man/company prior to using them!!!!!! AND xxx and xxxxxx(me) xxx rips people off YORBA LINDA CALIFORNIA xxx is an absolute joke of a company.
Not only do they lie and bully their customers they don't even clean your pool. We hired them January of 2018 for pool services. They cleaned the pool and the filter that same month we always paid them and never had an issue until they started billing us for services NEVER done NOR needed!
They claimed they had to clean my filter YET AGAIN in March 2018 when it was just cleaned in January. They CLAIMED "oh your pool was green" apparently were color blind cause it was never green. When you ask them what the charges are for they will become EXTREMELY upset and become verbally abusive. This company will place door tags on your door after completion of service there is sections to add or check if they did more services ... NEVER were those checked on my tags.
They never even cleaned my filter nor did they ever even add salt! When i asked Steve why these "additional" services were done without my approval. He said "its hard to get your approval when you're never home" funny steve because you have my phone number as well as my email didn't think to use that?? BEWARE OF xxxx AND (me)!!

DEFAMATION STATEMENT #14 even add salt! False. I brought the receipts to court, my poolman who added the salt and the father was present in court. Without and exploration of FACTS, the aforementioned defamation, no affirmative defenses of TRUTH entered by the defendants, no witnesses proving the defendants false libelous (LIBEL PER SE) claims this commissioner found the defendant owes plaintiff NOTHING for calling me a crook, "absolute con artists", stating we take pride in ripping people off, wrote "all they do is lie", claims services rendered never happened when we established in court and I brought the pool cleaner the filter was cleaned TWICE, never paid for, not once! Claiming we never added salt, claimed the pool didn't need salt, claimed in their false review the filters never needed cleaning, claiming we never cleaned their filters when infact the defendants own review claims we cleaned the filters when we began service.
Wrote "emailing claiming he was an attorney". There are OVER ONE DOZEN DEFAMATORY LIBELOUS STATEMENTS AND GLENN MONDO finds they owe me nothing, screw you Glenn! Glenn Mondo asked if defendants authorized filter cleanings and salt for their SALT POOL. We reminded him he always disclose when we sign anyone up for service the additional charges.
I explained to Glenn Mondo the father was present each time and authorized the filter cleanings and salt to the poolguy who I brought as a witness to court. Glenn Mondo asked if his kids gave permission to have the father authorize any extras.
#1 We already told them when they signed up the additional charges.
#2 We are not in the habit of pulling property titles when we start pool service.
#3 It appeared the father lives there
#4 The father called the office 4 or 5 times requesting assistance.
#5 The father would ask the poolman voluminous questions each time he was there.
#6 I explained to Glenn Mondo the father was acting as an agent for the homeowners, his kids! Preposterous!! I should simply ask my parents to come to my home, authorize services then I don't ever have to pay for them so long as Glenn Mondo hears the case!!
The service contract aside, my defamation per se suit had no merit to be found for the defendant. No statements posted permanently were found to be true, no witnesses, called crooks and wrote we rip people off when infact we were the ones ripped off! I will be filing a complaint against Glenn Mondo.
I have read others online with similar scenarios with this commissioner. I sued for defamation per se instead of per quod, the difference: Defamation Per Se v. Defamation Per Quod. Defamation per se means that the statement is obviously defamatory; the court does not have to interpret or study the defamatory statement to know that it harmed the plaintiff. With defamation per quod, on the other hand, the plaintiff needs to provide an explanation as to why the statement is defamatory.
This is common where the defamatory statement is an inducement or innuendo. With defamation per se, assumed damages are generally available. Defamation per quod requires proof of actual damages. What legal grounds did commissioner Glenn Mondo have to dismiss my lawsuit without award and find for the defendants when the RIPOFFREPORT statements and the law are BOTH clear, none were proven, the statements each ON ITSELF are defamatory.
No affirmative defense was entered or proven, no witnessed proved ANY or ALL statements published online by defendants to be true. This is either personal or incompetence, neither is acceptable. I should have followed my initial instinct and requested an actual JUDGE hear my case. Each time I have filed small claims in North Court, Fullerton, I have asked the clerks for another commissioner or judge telling them I cannot stand him or his negativity, one clerk stated she "hears that alot".
This last time asked I was told Glenn Mondo is the only small claims commissioner at this court house. How can that be??? I will never have another case heard in front of this moron again. And, I will be filing a complaint he needs to be removed from the bench!!
I will not post any of Glenn Mondos personal information online and the photo used herein is already in the public domain. I am expressing my First Amendment Right. I suggest you do the same if you've encountered Mr; Grouchy Mondo I had a few other cases where Grouchy Mondo was just WRONG.
However, I still received at least a partial judgment. One for instance, I sued a mechanic who charged me $3400 and failed to return my parts I requested per CA law. I discovered some of the parts I was charged for were never changed. I sued for parts paid for and punitive damages.
Grouchy Mondo stated I can only get punitive damages in cases of fraud. A mechanic who claims to replace parts but doesn't and is later caught is not fraud?? Another case Grouchy Mondo yelled at me and found for the defendant, I was awarded ZERO, was a lady who we serviced her pool for >5 years, she was chronically a deadbeat we had to chase down for partial payments eventually terminating service. He asked why we didn't terminate services sooner. I explained it's not uncommon for people to get behind and catch up or make partial payments so long as they pay something we work with them.
I brought in a quickreport any moron can decipher which is an accounting reflecting invoices and payments over the course of the time we worked for this woman until the day we terminated services. She admitted in court she owed us at least $250 of the $510 we were suing for. We sued her within a couple months of terminated services for nonpayment.
Once again, Glenn Mondo found for the defendant and gave us NOTHING. Nothing after defendant acknowledged she owed us money, nothing after defendant conceded to commissioner "they were the best pool service I ever had". She then claimed and of course I have no proof of or knowledge of that we mailed the court papers to the wrong address.
I am not the person who served her and the party was not in court for me to ask what address they were sent to. But yet Grouchy Mondo yelled at me for it; what does this have to do with me IF IT WAS EVEN TRUE!!!. FU I'd hate to be as miserable as Glenn Mondo appears. The negativity of this commissioner drains me everytime. Never again.
I will exhaust my options to have him removed then exercise my other options of having my cases transferred to another court and someone who follows the law and isn't perpetually pissed off at the world. Is your home life that bad??? Glenn Mondo also brought up a case years prior in reply to the defendants who first mentioned this woman regarding my fathers sister who has been stalking and harassing me for over 20 years then plays the victim.
The mere fact the defendants told the commissioner she reached out to them just days after they posted about me is proof she stalks me online, Googling my name and business name. We are in the process of requesting a restraining order in family court against her. Many of my cases I receive a partial judgment and/ or partial reimbursement of fees/ process service.
I don't believe I have ever had a single PLEASANT experience with Glenn Mondo, he's always appeared unhappy and ripe with negativity, including the cases I've won a full judgment. I don't dread going to any other court houses except Fullerton, I don't dread a single judge, commissioner, or judge pro tem EXCEPT GLENN MONDO!!
