Complaint Review: Glimm Screens BV

Glimm Screens BV Owner: Bjorn Bijster The company recieved around 15000 euros for an order of glass projection screen. He received the money upfront and never sent the goods. This has been dragging for more than one year. Several complaints on the internet exist about this company. Groningen Netherlands

Contacts were established with the owner Bjorn Bijster [BBijster@glimm.nl] who confirmed he can supply the right product within 6 weeks from full payment. To avoid delays and with prior agreement with us, ourmain contractor  in Abu Dhabi transferred the amount of 15872 Euros to Glimm’s account on the 14th of February 2012.

The balance of 6872  Euros was to be transferred back by Glimm to our account as soon as Glimm receives the funds, being our profit on this screen.

Since then things has escalated drastically. Most of the time Bjorn did not reply to our calls and his mobile number kept changing the last one being: 0031652563455. All his emails and correspondences were that he will transfer the funds next day and send the shipment in time. Neither the funds were transferred nor the shipment was shipped.

This has triggered an alarm in our company and we started investigating the matter only to find that Bjorn has done this trick at least once i.e. taking the money and not delivering the goods (see blog below), moreover we have contacted another supplier Proscreens in UK who informed us that Bjorn is known for his scams in this industry and that he owes them around 20000 UKP ( Andy Richardson [andy@proscreensltd.com] phone 00441706625824):

Hi ,

 

This is vijay jadav from India . we got same problem with glimm screen international . they asked me a advance payment and transfer our payment before 5 months and till date they doesn't deliver any products to us . whenever we cal them he doent do replay proper .He has no manufrecture unit over there . i visited his office and ask them that i would like to see your manufrecture unit but he didnt do that . After advance payment they doesn't deliver the products . i sent him court notice as well and he dosen't do replay as well so that i register his complain in our high court . when i asked to him , send me my money back if you are not able to provide our products .he said sorry its not possible.and delivery time was 4-6 weeks and today finished 20 weeks .

Indeed I checked and the link failed.

The report was from a company in Turkey whereby they paid Glimm for a screens order and the screens were never delivered.

Hi. For some reason, the link at http://www.bigscreenforums.com/forum_topic.cfm?which=16232 does not seem to work anymore. Can you place more details on this report as I might have improtant facts to add to it.

Glimm usefull has failed to meet the schedule as agreed upon. The deadline according to the schedule for installation in Greece was 25 till 29 September 2008 Please note that the agreement legally qualifiés as an agreement or contract for work 'as set out in article 7: 750 Dutch Civil Code. My client has the unconditional right by law (article 7: 764 Dutch Civil Code) to terminate the agreement immediately. My client is considering to terminate the agreement ex article7: 764 Dutch Civil Code if Glimm fails to deliver the Purchased devices before Monday 13 th October 2008. My client has notified Glimm - expressly- before entering into the agreement with Glimm That Lan System can be held liable by NTUA if System Lan does not deliver the devises to NTUA Within the deadlines as set out in the agreement. My client holds Glimm Therefore liable for all past and future damages Incurred by Glimm's failure to deliver the devises accor ding to planning. (..) I request and - if necessary- summon Glimm to confirm to me in writing before Friday October 10th 12:00 hours That Glimm will meet her obligations under the agreement with my client in full and will deliver and install the Purchased devices before 15th October 2008 in Athens at a designated location by my client and That Glimm will - on her own cost - ship to my client the set of projectors Cyviz of the NTUA back before 15th October 2008 '

I think Mr. Bjorn lost his temper. He knows we are in the process of filing a case against him. He also forgot of the many links on the internet compalining about ripping off people. 

The first link comes from the Netherland embassy in Abu Dhabi:

I wonder if Mr. Bjorn wants more ripoff links related to his company???

I as owner of Glimm screens BV wanted or needed to respond to this bulshit report of Mr OUSSAMA MANSOUR ABOU FARAJ.

It looks Mr Oussama need money and is scamming more people here what is very danmgerous and this man cannot be trusted. We as a hones t company has not received this order from him but a paymnet from  another company HIPSOS he is working as a ghost consultatnt and the company hipsos has been ripped off here This man has never over 1 year contact us or me to deliver the goods to his client.

We have made the produkts ready for this client Hipsos and he let this company complete down in 2012. now after 1.5 years he is contacting us with this kind of ripoff report on internet his client has lost a nice project because of him . I recommand not to do business any more with this man and the company SMART VISION TECHNOLOGY IN DUBAI. MR OUSSAMA MANSOUR ABOU FARAJ is not manager otherwise he has helped his client.

The screens we produced here were ready for him and could be picked up here, we have always had the communication open with mail and phone and we could have find a solution for his client We have made produktion kost and Mr OUSSAMA is free to pick up the screen for HIPSOS. Architects but he refuses.

The story of pro screen or pro display is a competitor of glimm screens BV and Glimm screens BV has never taken 20.000 euros form somebody without delivering this is a mis communication because the deal were we refereing of 20.000 has been settle for a exclusive license agreemnets .

Please feel free to contac us 0031505893112 ad you can always call me on my cell phone what has not been changed for the last 10 years .  We have even a good experiance with our competitors so this story is only to blame us for something we never have done . A shame these people exist and they not contact us on a normal way and explain what the need or how w ecan help them
