Yes, The title says it all. A $20000 giveaway. This has been the worst rip off in years. I signed up some time back in June of 2004. When I Arrived back home, I had a problem installing one of the marketing discs they give you at the end of the class. Phil's punk son answered and sharply told me that I needed more computer savvy and hung up. My contract says nothing about being a computer expert. The second time I called was to Phil about a case I was working on and I got yelled at over the phone. This happened 2 or three times. I actually wrote about 10 deals but none were approved. I read Enrico's report and I feel simularities. They bark at you and discourage you so you won't bother them. I want my $20k back. In spite of the time lapsed I'm still fried over this thing. They (Phil and the punk) are putting food on the table and makeng their Mercedes payments on the backs of those people that actually thought that they had a shot to start a new career. Phil Dushey, shame, shame, shame. You are a cheat. I plan on notifieing the financial organizations you are so proud to belong and tell them how great and humane you are. I'm sure they will be impressed.

Global Broker Systems Scam?

#6Consumer Comment

Tue, April 03, 2012

One of the reasons I find companies like Capital Training Group and Global Broker Systems very suspicious is due to the enormous amount they charge for a 4 day training course. Does it cover airfare, hotel, meals, transportation, etc.? Probably not. I know of someone who has taken a course with Global Broker Systems about a year ago. The person, who I will not name on this post, is my friend's cousin (lets call him John for the sake of this post). John is a middle aged professional who is married with three kids. He lost his job as a banker in 2009 due to the economy. He was living off his savings and had no luck in getting back in the job market. John then started looking at franchises and small businesses. He somehow stumbled upon Global Broker Systems and somehow felt comfortable in investing $20, 000 for a 3 day training program. Long story short, John completed the training program and ultimately realized it was a scam. Yes, foks, a scam. He worked long hours, calling New York to California 7 days a week. He went door to door. He did find folks interested in getting loans but the problem he encountered was none of them qualified. The $20K he invested was all of the savings he had left in life and ultimately his home got foreclosed upon. John is not suing anyone nor is he out for revenge for getting duped. He did tell me that one of the things that Global Broker Systems promised him were leads and that you never ever have to cold call. That turned out to be totally not true. I do realize there are two sides of the story but as a noninvestor and a stander by, I do have some concerns for companies like these. Here are some of them:

1. What justifies them charging $20K plus for a mere 3-4 day training course.

2. Why not just charge $2K or so and get a royalty on every deal since they claim they supply the leads.

3. I do realize that running the training program for free and then charging them a percentage of the business might not attract serious candidates due to the fact the candidate does not have skin in the game, but I find it suspicious why they are not charging a small royalty. Bottom line thinking for me is that they want to hoard the $20, 000.00 upfront money.

4. Sales is not for everyone. Why not have a selection criteria. I guarantee you that a semi truck driver or a blue collar worker with a stuterring problem WILL NOT and CANNOT be successful in a sales position. It seems to me like they take everyone with $20, 000.00.

5. These companies do not have an internal finance program either. Why not? Maybe because they know the majority of their graduates will not succeed is my thinking.

Maybe there are fine qualities in their program but for $20, 000.00, I do not need to hear the other side of the story. I do believe that their main mission is to make tons of profit and take advantages of people like the John's of this world.

Phil Dushey and his son are extremely strong high pressure people.  Phil Dushey is also one of the instructors and according to John, he is a really fishy character and is a liar and scammer.  Phil Dushey does not keep his word according to my friend.  Everyone out there needs to be careful when companies like Phil Dushey's company wants $20,000.00 in cash for just a 3 day training program.

The Global Program Works

#6Consumer Comment

Thu, March 31, 2011

I wanted to come back here and add a comment to all the readers that might consider the Global program. I found Global through one of the franchise sites and found some interest in it. I work for Eco Friendly updates an eco friendly reporting company and just wanted more money and needed to work from home. So I called Global and listened to what they had to say and well I became more interested. I went online and started my research and found this complaint and was a bit taken back as I dont want to get ripped off for 20k. After more research and visiting the Global offices and I saw with my own two eyes a fully operational financial company. I jumped in and went to NY for the training up in their offices. Their offices were very nice and impressive. The 3 day training was great, they gave me everything they said they would. They set me up with all the knowledge, they hooked me up directly with a dozen banks that offer a multitude of financial programs that were my products and they gave me what I needed to market on a normal budget. It took me a month to get started and I followed what they told me to do. I screwed up a few times and after that with the support they gave me I was rolling smooth. Now I dont know about anyone else but I am a go getter and not a complainer or a cry baby. I got business rather quickly and I have made all my money back and now make about 15-25k a month, its crazy I feel like a millionaire. I came back here to post this message to let you all know that what they offer is very real and in no way is Phil Dushey the type of individual that would ever yell at anyone or treat anyone like dirt. He is a man of his word and his program has changed my life. My bills are paid and I have my own business that lets me live well. Who ever wrote this original report you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to give people the wrong idea about a great program and good people. You should be ashamed of yourself for not working your new business with heart! And trying to put your failure on the backs of people that I know definitely helped you. Anyway I just wanted to set the record straight because I am very proud of what I have accomplished. If anyone is interested in talking to me about my experiences you can reach me at maysrexen@gmail.com.

I'm an outsider looking in and can tell that the two rebuttals above claiming that the service works are from the same poster, just look at the signatures first name and last initial on both. The language (attitude) in both the posts are the same as well.

Aside from the obvious, why would anyone pay $20,000 to a company for a 3 day training session in NYC? The idea of learning everything you need to know to roll into 6 figure incomes in just 3 days is beyond common sense. This reminds me of the late night infomercials, for only $10,000 more we will throw in an additional breakfast with your training supervisor.

Since this company is based out of NYC, you might want to contact the NY AG's office for fraudulent practices.

The Results Have Been GREAT For Me!!!

May I take a moment to respond to a negative review of Global Broker training Systems. I have taken the training and I any currently active in the business. All the training and the continuing support helped me to obtain a 6 figure ++ income, in a relative short period of time. Obviously this fella BILLBOB164 did not follow the training. Of my first 15 transactions 14 were approved. The one deal that was not approved was my fault. The lenders make it simple. Follow their criteria and get an approval. Phil and his staff provided on-going support for every deal that I needed help with. Every lender that was affiliated with Global was extremely efficient and helpful. I cannot thank Phil enough for this opportunity he has provided.

I Had A Totally Different Experience

#6Consumer Comment

Wed, October 27, 2010

After reading the post above I had to put in my two cents. I went through the Global training about 4 months ago and I have worked closely with Phil Dushey in terms of on-going support. He has been great! He actually helped me get a transaction funded that I thought that I had messed up on due to inexperience. I have found working with Phil to be a pleasure. I have never had the chance to work with his son. I didn't even know he had a son that works with him. So far in my small time in this industry....I couldn't ask for anything more. I am happy with the decision that I made to go through the Global training.

***Advice For The Person Above...If you read the lender manuals for each lender & only submit what falls within the guidelines of that lender then you will get your transactions funded.
