Simply put, they cannot help you anymore than you can help yourself with simple website searches and a phone book. They will speak with you anywhere from one to three times and let you know that "you are a perfect candidate". They will then ask for your payment of 6-10k depending on how much you made the previous year. The systems they employ to find you work amount to three avenues they consist of... 1. They will make you a "value proposition" which is just a cover letter. 2. They will make you a "marketing document" which is a poor resume. 3. They ask you to select companies from a web site (True Advantage) and they make you ten letters to send to addresses the web site provides.

The companies on the web site are no more than in business and not actively looking for new hires necessarily (after three mailing no one was even hiring nor did they appreciate me calling them directly). The names provided by GCM are Executive level contacts (CEO, COO, President) and they are not even the hiring managers in HR. It is basically a directory of businesses in your industry and the executives that run the show, there is no mention of job openings or anything else. The idea is spray and pray, an exponential number of monkey will at some point write a shakespear play, right??

Just stay away.
