In the spring of last year I was solicited by a company offering a vacation package for free and all I had to do was watch a video. The physical location was in Gurnee IL. I went in and watched and wasn't sure about time-shares. They explained it is not really a time-share but vacations at time-share type locals aroun the country. I explained after we were set-up one on one with an agent that I am just a poor student and cannot afford the $9,000 or so lifetime membership so they assured me it can be affordable for all and they had locations at all types of areas including cities where they have hotels in their network. I set-up a week long "one star" vacation package for about $3,000 with a promise that wherever I go they will have locations available. And all I will have to pay is a $150 yearly fee.I was never told there was a difference between that and the $395 "Activity fee" I am now being charged to keep my account "current" To me, $550 for one week is not worth it when I've already spent over $3,000. If I knew I wouldn't have joined. Well I wrote up a request and sent it out and recieved an email back saying they will get back to me as soon as possible. They did call stating that they "Don't currently have" locations in Atlanta or the surrounding area or in New Orleans or that area. I did look into what they currently have, my husband is in the military and we can only do weekend trips. They seem to all be in the middle of nowhere or charge a lot extra for "peak times". They have called me again since my yearly contract ran up, still stating they don't have my requested locations and it was stated that the hotels are an "Extra and seperate service" thatI haven't paid for. Also, they sent me a "renweal invoice" for $395 which is four times what was promised. I have no use of their services and wish I knew about the 3 day grace period (Which is mandatory from the US gov't) before I got frustrated with them.

And the "free vacation" was almost forgotten about completely, I had to go back in after they charged my credit card and sent me on my way. Also, their "perks service" hasn't been useful at all either as they charge more money for the "taxes" than it is worth and have read that it is a rip-off as well. They also needed my personal info, my ID and social. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF THIS!
