I have just wasted 3 months trying to collect on "Free" tickets for 2 anywhere in the continental US promised at a seminar in March with Global Discovery Vacations.  The company supposedly providing the "Free" ticket is iig Promotions.

I was to get on line and request my incentive.  I was congratulated on my good fortune and asked to fill out yet another form to confirm my request.  I was then to send 4.95, which I did.  In the meantime, I was told that I was also eligible for an additional "free" gift of a $300.00 gas card.

And, by the way, Global was only available to take calls in the evening and iig Promotional was only availble until 5:00 pm. not reall convieniet to the commom working class.  I atempted to call iig Promotinal and kept being told to call during working hours which were also my working hours.  I called Global and they gave me Marty's personal phone number, when I callen him, I had to leave a massage to be told he would get in back with me within 48 hrs.  When he did, I told him what I needed, he said I would get another email, which I did.  That form had me list 3 different places I would like to go and they the departure time needed to be 30 days apart and they neede 60 days to begin with.  Hmm, sounds like a "Free ticket was going to be a lot more difficult than we had time to do.  So, I called and said, "We were planning to go to Portland Oregon in Sept.  I was thentold that they would do everything to make that happen, however, they couldn't do anytbing until they received $218.00 booking fee!  I said "How is that "FREE"?  Well, this is not free, it is in the emails we sent you what these fees are for."

Now it is 3 months + that I have been at this process.  I received an email and call from Vanc today with the findings for our "FREE" vacation.  Our balance is 746.38!  I called Vance back and asked him." What company did you say you are from?" his  reply, " iig Promotionals"  I had talked to Marty, my original contact person yesterday and told him in no uncertain terms that I was no way going to send him a cent with after the experience that I have had thus far attempting to collect my "FREE"  ickets from him over the past 3 months.  So Marty must have told his staff to get on it and they came up with my "FREE" $746.38 tickets.  I was told it was Global who misrepresented the "Free" tickets.

I then called Global and asked how I could get out of my contract with them.  I was told that I had 3 days to cancel my contract after signing up.  I was not a happy, the customer rep then asked me the question.  How can I help you.  I went off.  I told her about my 3 month attempt to get my "FREE" tickets.  She told me that they were not responsible for iig Promotionals.  When I said, " If your sales rep promise "Free" airline tickets, are not both companies repersenting the other and wouldn't that make you accomplises?

Later, I got a call from what I guees is igg Promotinals other sales rep, telling me that Vance, who gave me the balance of $746.38 just this afternoon was not supposed to call me, she is working on my "Incentive" and will let me know soon what she can do for me.

I am exhausted with this.  What I Will Say to Anyone who is reading this: "IF it sound too good to be true, IT IS" it is to good to be true.  Save yourself some real upset, let it go.  We are into Global for $6490.00 in monthly payments of 185.00 per month.  DON'T do it!
