Global Financial ripoff unknown

On February 28th of this year a gentleman called claiming he worked for Global Financial Services and that I pre-qualified for a credit card of 2,500.00 dollars.

I just had to pay a one time fee of 221.95. I would then have no yearly costs and as long as I maintained a good payment record a percentage rate of only 5%. For helping assist for the one time processing fee I would be given a coupon reedemable for $100 in gas and $500 in groceries.

They even 'put me through' to verify the call and yes I fell for it. I am recently disabled and have three kids and I wanted something for emergencies if needed. If anyone has any information please let me know.

I am here to warn anyone who wants to join Global Financial to stay away. I am not sure that this is a rip off but what i am sure of is the thousands of calls that are placed each day and night of customers who have not received a card and have had their funds withdrawn, we are talking about people who have had their funds withdrawn at the beginning of January.

I work for a reputable company, or so i thought i did, that only does the telemarketing and the verification for Global, but we are a small enough company that word travels from one department to the next.

Let me tell you within my company i know that they are not telling us, as their employees, the truth about these f'n Global people. It is frustrating day after day to listen to people and how they were ripped off by this company.

I am a hard working person as well and i have to work hard for each dollar i have and if someone told me i could rebuild my crappy credit and i had to pay $221.95 i would've done it too, but if i would get ripped off like Global Financial is doing to you people, i would be very upset too, i have children to support and $221 is a lot of money to be taking from a person.

I guess i just want to say don't be suckered in. If you are researching this because you might be interested in a card. I would say to you, make sure you read each and every depressing story on here and than if you have already signed up and have been scammed i would say "find a good lawyer and get in a class action lawsuit."

Today, April 4, 2003, I received a call from a gentleman, by the name of "Cole" employee #71212. He gave me the same line he gave everyone else. Luckily, while I was talking with this guy and falling for is scam, my wife looked up the company name on the interenet and found all of the complaints on Rip Off Report.com. Thank god she found that. Anyhow, the number he gave me is 770-225-0245. I was able to talk to a live person. Good luck, I Sincerely hope all is resolved. God bless.
