Complaint Review: Global Financial

Global Financial took funds from my checking account on about Jan.23, 2003. The promised me a credit card with $2500.00 unsecured credit, $500 in food vouchers ( redeemable at any major supermarket) and $100 gasoline voucher. They told me that I would receive it within 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, I still had received nothing from them.

On Feb. 27th, I called 866 411 4466, and was told that My card and benefits were on their way. On March 27th, I called ther same number again. I was told by a woman (And I have all of the names of all of the people I spoke with) that She was sorry for what had happened, and she didn't know why My package never arrived, but that it would for sure be in my ost office box within 10 days. After 10 days, I was told that my package was re-called, and that it would be in my box by the 23rd. of April.

I asked what if it is not here by the 23rd? The response was that I should ask for a refund then. I asked for a refund now, and was told that I could not ask for a refund until my package arrived, since it was already on its way. On April 24th, I called because I still had not received anything..... not even a sorry for the inconvenience letter. When I called on April 24th, The phone just rang, and no one, and no machine answered.

Early in January, when I signed up for this program, I was told to call another number for verification. After 4 weeks had gone by, I called the verification number, because that was the only number I had for them. When I spoke with them, I was told that They could not give me any information about my card, because they just do verifications for many credit card companies. When I call that number now, There is a recording that says something to the efeect of We are closed, please call global financial at 866-411-4466. Still no one answers that number
