Global Financial tried to rip me off New York
This Global Financial called me saying I had prequalified for a Visa or Mastercard and told me about all of these great gifts that would be sent to me in my introductory package plus the $100 gas rebate (he said it wasn't a coupon, but an actual rebate) and the $500 in grocery coupons, and a free stay at a hotel after I paid the 229.95 registration fee.
I said to call me back in an hour and he did. In the meantime I tried to look up the company on the internet. I couldn't find their website anywhere.
When he called back I asked him if the company had a website. He stuttered for a second and then said no. I didn't say anything for a minute and their was a very long pause.
He asked me if I had any questions and I said no, that I was just trying to find out some more information about this company that I had never heard of.
Instead of trying to explain where or how I may have gotten on their list or how I could have prequalified, he simply asked if I had any questions again. I said no and that I wasn't interested.
Without a pause he responded with "OK, bye." Click. I wasn't sure that they were trying to rip me off (maybe this kid just wasn't good at selling their card), but with the speed with which he hung up, I was sure I had avoided being ripped off.
Please don't trust this company. I don't want to see them rip off anyone.
