I urge everyone not to sign a contract with this company! Cool gym.. but horrible staff and morrals. They will try to take you for every penny they can and constantly push you to buy products.

Urban Active use to be called Golds Gym. They had such a bad rap that they have changed their name.

Bought a tanning package and the beds were never cleaned. When they did clean them they would use the same towel to clean each bed. Additionally, they tried to make me pay to rent a towel to clean my own bed! They have you sign a contact and put information on the back of the contract that I did not know every existed stating that I had to pay a $10 membership fee and continue to pay for tanning for an additional two months even though I did not want it. When I complained they told me that I was making this information up and basically providing false information. Way to treat a customer!

I was also billed a $20 "late fee" because I lost my credit card and it was shut down. I provided them with a new one and asked for someone to call me in management. I asked 5 times. I finally sent an e-mail and that was the only way they responsed.

To put it short.. this company is only about PROFIT. They do not care about you or your satisfaction of the gym. I would go somewhere else and actually be treated like a customer.
