Complaint Review: Global Paving and Masonry

Avoid this paving and masonry contractor.  Christy Connors exhibits very suspicious and aggressive behavior.

Before the job was half way done, he wanted a payment of $5000 of the $7000 total for the porch rebuild job (some later investigation leads me to suspect that this project was $1000 to $2000 over priced).  He wanted me to go to the bank and get cash for the payment.  I refused to do that, of course, and paid by check.

 The crew finished the construction work last evening but had not yet left the job site clean and tidy as called for in the contract.  At 6:30 PM that evening, after dark while I was having dinner, Christy Connors was at my door wanting payment of the remaining $2000.  I told him it was too dark for me to inspect the work and that I would pay the balance when the site cleanup was done.  He became very aggressive, demanding immediate payment insisting that the work was complete!

The crew, which was subcontracted by Christy Connors , did do a good job rebuilding the porch.
