Global Tele Link cut off my service with no warning, my bill was paid-5 dys later still no service Internet
I get collect calls from great meadow corr fac. I paid my bill in full 4 days after receiving it. 3 days later my phone is blocked. Global tele says they are getting away from 3rd party billing and ask me to fax my phone bill. I did 4/14/09. They tell me it takes 3-5 business dys for reinstatement, and I need to call in to see if my serv can be set up. I must have put in over 60 SIXTY calls trying to see if they even got the fax. They tell me it takes 3-5 dys.I say suppose the fax did not go thru. They tell me i have to wait til the following tuesday to see. Which means after a whole week, if they did not get it, I have to fax again. Meanwhile the inmate does not know why my phone is suddenly blocked. It takes about 4 dys for him to receive a letter from me. Im am so frustrated that Global tele has monopolized this situation. Personally i feel its a violation of a persons civil rights to limit the amt of calls he or she can rec. What is the problem esp since my bill is paid in full. Something needs to be done about Global tele and their procedures.
