I received a letter from Global Test Market (Cranston, RI) signed by Joe Coring, typed as JOSEPH CORING (PROJECT DIRECTOR) offering me the position: Customer Service Evaluator, Rep I.D. # 47218 (Mystery Shopper or Mystery Customer as mentioned in the letter).

Two Evaluations are to be done on this assignment based on instructions from the assigned Training Coordinator, Elizabeth P. at 1-416-276-2869: Deposit/cash the Texas Citizens Bank Check of $985.00 to cover the following: for items they want me to purchase (MoneyPak $840.00 + $5 service charge) and $20.00 retail shopping at WalMart, and the remaining $120.00 as payment for my services.

The check looked legal so I took it to the bank and cashed it.  The bank teller just let me sign and she handed me the cash.  With the cash I went and purchased the MoneyPak and sent it to Global Test Market as instructed.  After five days, I received a call from the bank (Tech CU) telling me that the Texas Citizens Bank check I deposited was returned because of Insufficient funds, which when they emailed a copy to me showed ACCOUNT CLOSED.

I called, to request for money order as replacement, the provided GLOBAL TEST MARKET number 1-416-276-2869 but after a few rings the line is gone. I tried several times and the ringing stopped until I don't hear any sound.

I hope the person/s reading this report will learn this SCAM is so common, and will prevent them in cashing the check.  I knew it was too good to be true but because I knew the check was legit and I didn't have any problem cashing it.
