In October 2007, I was contacted by Global Timeshare sales regarding my timeshare. They offered to sell my timeshare for a fee of $1350. I agreed. But when i could not get in contact with anyone after the first three days of signing the paperwork, I got suspicious and decided to back out. Since I couldn't make contact via phone, I sent a letter to the Brockton office. I got no response. According to my contract, I had 7 days to terminate the agreement and my advertising will begin within the first 48 hours after signing up and with it only being 3 days, i was well within the 7 days allowed.

I contacted my credit card company to hopefully have the charges reversed, but after a week my credit card company said they could not reversed the charges (I can only assume because they could not in contact with Global Timeshare Sales either). I persistently called day after day. Months went by with absolute no contact. Now the Phone number to my agent has been disconnected and there is no forwarding number available. The 800 number goes to a voice-mail where my calls get unanswered.

In May of 2008, I contacted the Better Business Bureau. The BBB closed my file on June 3, 2008 due to the company's failure to respond. (The BBB was also unable to get in contact with Global Timeshare)

In July of 2008, I submitted a complaint with the Attorney General Office. Shortly after in August, I got a response from the Attorney Generals Office. Global Timeshare stated "We have tried to contact Mr Lewis in order to resolve this but have been unsuccessful. We will continue to advertise for Mr Lewis (me) as we are contracted to do." This response is a complete lie. My phone number, address, and email address have not changed at all.

In September i received a call from Mr Clayton Hines from Global Timeshare. He stated he sold my timeshare for approximately $28,000, but I needed to give them an additional $1350 to go through with the sale. I stated to him that I canceled with Global Timeshare over a year ago and Global Timeshare still owes me my refund. I also told him that i don't trust the company and highly that they sold my timeshare....I am sure it is just another scam to get more money from me. He insisted that I send him $1350.

Because I know first hand that this company practices fraudulent tactics, I called his bluff and asked him to send me proof. He said he could not send me any paperwork regarding the sale, but just send them the money or I will loose the sale. I questioned why anyone would give up money without getting a reciept, a contract, or some sort of paperwork. He then stated and I quote "this ain't Burger King, you're not going to have it your way". I stated to him that all I want is my refund that has been owed to me for over a year now. He then stated and I quote "How about I take your ad off and keep your money". I then told him that my timeshare should have never been advertised in the first place because I canceled... He then hung up on me.

In March of 2009, I checked to see if the ad was still up and running my timeshare for sale on Global Timeshares website. I found that my Ad has expired. So, now they don't acknowledge that i canceled with Global Timeshare and they also breached there own contract. According to there contract The company will continue to advertise the property on the internet until sold or rented at no cost to you.

According to the BBB there are many complaints against this company. I have been fighting with this company going on two years now. I have documentation from the BBB, Attorney Generals Office, the contract, letters, and emails.
