I appointed Global Visas to advise on my South African Visa - we agreed on a 'no visa no fee basis' - they said they would take 50% of the fee upfront and 50% on completion, they actually took 100% of the fee upfront.

They sent me an e-mail with the visa requirements - simply cut and pasted from the home office website - clearly I was going to do the running around to obtain this visa.

I submitted the documents only to be told that extra documents were needed, for example the repatriation deposit (the website mentioned this but strangely the immigration 'specialists' didn't - a simple oversight?!).

I then received a phone call from the South African High Commission saying that my visa application had been refused, i had been very badly advised and had applied for the incorrect visa. Then the fun started - trying to get my fee refunded.

Twelve months down the line, despite numerous promises that a refund would be issued, a County Court Judgement has been issued and the bailiffs have been instucted to collect my fee...i am still waiting.

Just a word of warning - the 'consultants' are simply salesman - their sole objective is to obtain your fee in whichever way they can!!! Promises are short lived and when questioned 'they are just the consultants' - you need to speak to someone in authority (if you can).

I have a County Cout Judgement outstanding and am about to issue a third party debt order. Would I wish to deal with a 'professional' company in this position and treats its clients like this?
