In December 2010, my 79 year old dad read an ad that asked if you wanted to earn extra money and work your own hours.

Somehow, I don't know how, he got a salesman to contact him.  After the salesman made his pitch, Dad was still interested. The salesman told Dad, to get started, he would have to send Global VOIP Solutions, Inc, $200. My dad smelled a rat and told the salesman that he would send $100 in return for more information about the opportunity they were offering.

After several months, Dad did not hear or receive anything from Global VOIP Solutions, Inc. Dad decided it was a $100 lesson.

Last week, 12 months after he sent the initial $100 check, my dad noticed the balance on his checking account was lower than he thought it should be. He went to the Credit Union and discovered that Global VOIP Solutions, Inc, was withdrawing $35.90 from his account every other month since March, 2011.  And, $250.00 was being taken out every month since 09/2011.
Once Dad saw what was happening, he changed his account number....stop the bleeding.

When he tried to contact Global VOIP Solutions, Inc's salesman, the only phone number he had, he failed.  So, he asked me to help him.

I waded through a lot of hoops until I was speaking with the salesman that had sold their opportunity to Dad. My first question to him was, "What did Dad buy with his $1400?" That triggered the sales pitch from the salesman.  I listened and waited until he took a breathe before explaining that my dad does not have internet access, did not authorize any withdrawals from his account, and was unaware of any type of agreement with Global VOIP Solutions, Inc. His only interest was the additional information which he put up $100 to show his good faith.  I was passed to the salesman's boss. He, too, tried to baffle me smoke & mirrors talking about how they have been in a "relationship" with my dad for several months.... I exploded and told him ONE phone conversation and Global VOIP Solutions, Inc., taking money out of his account, without his authorization or knowledge, does not make a relationship.

I searched for and found several Ads for their service. Everything the ads promise are delivered via the Internet. Obviously that should have STOPPED any salesman from making a sale to a 79 year old retiree, instead of breaking all contact and draining his checking account by copying his routing number and account number to faux checks.

I have registered a complaint to the FTC and the local Chamber of Commerce. Anyone with any ideas for what else I can do before I invest in a lawyer. For a $1400 loss, it's hardly worth a law suit. I am certain this group makes much more of their income via thier FEES versus providing any service related to VOIP technology.  If anyone is interested in a Class Action against them, count me in for enthusiastic support.

On Dec 17,  2010,  the gentleman that did become an affiliate of our company and did so on his own free will.  By no means did we force him into or fraudulently do anything wrong.  We provided the service he wanted and he still had a remaining balance owed to our company.  We overlooked that and waive his remaining balance that he owed.  David's father was a valued affiliate but because he was having financial difficulties he had his son (David) contact our company and worked out a fair refund that worked for both his father and our company. Because we did in fact provide the service he paid for and the work was already completed. Both parties were satisfied with the end conclusion.  This complaint was on 12/30/2011,  and his refund was issued on 1/2/2012.  With the 1000's of customers that we have in our network very rarely do we have any complaints.  Had Davids father contact us prior to have filed his claim online he would of realize he would of had the same out come.  A refund.  We are only looking for people that believe they can benefit from our network by putting in a little hard work.
