Complaint Review: Global Windshield Repair

This company replaced a rear windshield on my truck with a generic form and not the correct glass from the manufacturer. They were one of the companies State Farm did business with. This was done on 10-08-01 and have had initially multiple leaks. Had to call back several times to repair. Even stood in bed of truck to pour water on top of cab to show technician the leak. Thought they finally repaired it. Did notice now and then a musty odor in truck at times but saw no leaking. On 5-14-03, took truck through car wash. Leaking still was occurring from the top of cab in several places. Had State Farm intervene to have this problem finally taken care of. It took a week of scheduling appointments with no shows while telling me all along they would replace the glass. After continually complaining to State Farm, they finally did it. On 6-10-03, receieved a call from a Randy who told me it was because of him that the job was finally done correctly. That he made them purchase a $250-$300 windshield. This man did not even apologize for the troubles his company caused. My comment to him was if it was done correctly the first time this would not be occurring. His final comment to me was that I must be alone and unhappy.
