Globalinx Not accomadating to keep you as a customer and the customer service does not communicate detailed information on canceling the service Rochester New York
I joined Globalinx in 11/2007 and no problems or concerns with the actual phone line. The problem was always with the customer service department. I always had long wait times. My first problem encountered with my voice mail. My voice mail had reached is limit and I could not go in to clear it myself, but I had to call customer service to clear it for. This was an very long and waistful to call them. My second and final problem was after being with them for 1 year, my VOIP box was no longer working and I requested another one. They said since my 1 year warrenty has pass, I was required to pay for another one. I told them, I did not have the funds to pay for this and could they either bill me or allow me to pay over two months. The answer was no. I told them on Dec 8, 2008, I no longer will not like them to be my phone service provider and I was switching to Vonage. I made the switch that day and Vongae ported my number in 5 days. I spoke with a rep on
Dec 8th and ask will I be billed for future bills and she said as soon as my number was ported, I will not be billed. On 1/9/09, I recieved an invoice for 1/7/09 -2/6/09 for $30.38 and I called Globalinx to tell them on 1/9 I have been switched over to Vongage since 12/10 so why i am being billed.
Globalinx stated that I never cancelled. I told them on 12/8, I no longer wanted service, but since I didnot say the work CANCEL, I was never cancel. This is the reason for the bill. I ask to speak with a manager and the rep (Wilma) stated there was no supervisor in the office, but she will have a supervisor call me. I called back 20 minutes later and spoke with (Carmen) and she said she will submit a request to have the $30.38 credited and that she will have a supervisor call me. As of 3:30 today, no one called. I called back and spoke to a supervisor name Natalie and she was rude and said we will credit your account back $30.38 and hung up. After reading all of the reports on here, I believe this company needs to be put out of business. This is not an accomadating accompany and more professionalism needs to take place to practice best practices.
