There is a legitimate company, against which, I have no complaint, that is Globalnet Panel, but my problem is with a scam using that name. I received a letter in the mail, with no return address. It was addressed to me personally. Inside was a letter and a check for $2975.00. The letter congratulated me on being selected to be a "Customer Service Evaluator" for my area.
There was letterhead at the top that was an unclear, fuzzy-looking copy of what is probably very similar to the actual company's letterhead. There was also a physical address, a web address, a phone and fax number, and an email address.

I was told to call them first, to let them know I was going to participate. Then, I was supposed to deposit the check into my bank account. My 'job' was to then withdraw all but $300.00(that was my wage) and go to a Money Gram location, where I would transfer this money to an address they gave me in Canada.

Then I was supposed to fill out the survey contained in the letter on what my experience with Money Gram was like. I've heard of the warnings about scams like these, so I went Online to contact Globalnet Panel via the email address on their actual website, which was different, of course, than the one in the letter. They had no idea what I was referring to, but they knew that they had sent me nothing. They recommended that I turn in the letter and check to the police. That is what I am doing.
