Inexcusable service, frequent downtime, no replies, no answers

I am besides myself to know how to describe the deplorable service of this company. Be it to say that I am taking the time to fill out this form and write letters to Webhost Magazine.

Can you fathom that a web hosting company that guarantees 99.9% uptime and 24/7 support would literally close down their phone tree system for the Christmas holidays, so that their is no way to reach a technical response hotline? They simply say we are close for the holiday, and then hang up. Period. The fact that there has been no email for 3 days is apparently irrelevant. It is now Sunday after Christmas. We have had no email since Friday. I have sent numerous email to support via my gmail account and have no way to call them. We are a VPS customer. Nothing.

Of course, none of this is new. They are frequently down. We were down for nearly 8 hours the previous week. Even when web services are up, email is down for hours or days at a time and is lost for good. What makes things worse is that the email doesn't bounce. It just goes into a black hole. So our customers think they are emailing us successfully. Global Servers has never come clean with us about what is going on. At one point a technician said they were having problems with their RAID disks. Thanks. That's helpful.

To add insult to injury, their current voice mail says that they are closed for Christmas and will open at 9:00 AM on December 26th. Well, guess what today is? December 26th. Guess what the voice system says? That's right. Its the same as yesterday. Hasn't changed. Pathetic.
