Globe Movers picked up our goods from New Jersey on the 29th of October 2002 and promised that our goods will be shipped to South Africa in 6-8 weeks. It has been 5 months and we still have not received our shipment. It is extremely expensive to call form South Africa and we have spent several hundred dollars in telephone calls.

When we call the person is either on the phone or out or they put me on hold for half hour then slam the phone down. We eventually tracked our goods, they are in storage with a company called Scanio movers. Globe movers did not pay Scanio movers for storage of our goods so Scanio is holding the goods back.

Megan Carpic who is the owner also over charged us. The intial quote was $1200 which I felt was too much but we agreed upon it. After we landed in South Africa we got a letter in the mail saying that we have to pay another $600 or the deal is off. Fearing that we will not see our goods we paid the money. Now we do not have our goods valued at $5000 and we have been RIPPED OFF. PLEASE DO NOT USE GLOBEMOVERS.

They are dishonest and their staff Justin, Lorraine and Joe are just as dishonest and they all will not go far in life.
