GLOBE MOVING AND STORAGE SCAM BEWARE GLOBE MOVING GARDEN CITY, Kansas
I put my info online for moving quotes i was contacted by a salesman by the name of Josh.He was very polite and told me everything i wanted to hear.I knew my nightmare was going to begin when i recieved a call from dispatch saying they were not picking me up and they were going to be 1-2 days late.I explained i had to be out by the back up date i was given they said we will try!!! well when i called Josh my salesman he said to me "o.k. so what do you want me to do about it" I told him i was promised a day and there 4 days late now and were not coming to the following day i told him to cancel the order he told me "YOU CAN CANCEL WHATEVER YOU WANT BUT IM NOT GIVING YOU A NICKEL OF YOUR 1250.00 DEPOSIT BACK" i could not believe the tone he had with meand was very upset as i am a 75yr old widow.When the men finally showed up these guys stank of liquer and they were very unkept.They told me they could not get the trailer up my driveway and i told them i mentioned that to the salesperson and Josh told me not to worry and if i needed one it would only cost $150.These guys told me it was going to cost $950.00!!! for the shuttle and told me JOSH DOESENT EVEN WORK FOR GLOBE HE IS A SALESMAN WITH ANOTHER COMAPNY AND THEY JUST DO THE JOBS FOR THEM!!! SO HE IS A BROKER JUST WHAT THEY PROMISED THEY WERENT.Furthermore when i went back and checked my statement it was from a differnt company not GLOBE moving.The guy then walked through my home and told me the move would cost $9100.00 i told them i had a binding price from josh based on inventory and weight for $4300 so how could tell me its double by looking at it and he told me "MS IVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 10 YRS I CAN LOOK AND TELL YOU HOW MUCH ITS GOING TO BE ABD THATS A FLAT RATE AND IF YOU DONT SIGN THEN WE WILL WEIGH IT AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY ALL THE OVERAGE OR EXTRAS" I tried to call Josh which of course he was no where to be found but the driver told me josh cant help me anyway.I never felt so violated and abused by anybody im 4'8'' and these monsters were towering over me demanding i sign paperwork or they would dump everything out on my lawn.Then when they finally left he knocked down my mailbox with the truck and took out a cherry blossem tree.I Did some research online and found out that globe moving used to be MIDWEST VANLINES who have an F rating on the BBB and when i spoke to them they are under inverstigation with the owner MIKE BENDOIM.I also saw how there all tied into trans national vanlines and trans american vanline are all tied in somehow and there all scamming people out there PLEASE BEWARE USE A REPUTABLE HOUSE NAME COMPANY LIKE ALLIED/UNITED thats what i usually did in the past and made a bad choice not doing so......

What!! Chris, you don't think a 75 year old widow can have the name of Jesse? For your info, I am a 76 year old male victim of Globe's abuse and I have know at least five women with the name of Jesse in my life of over 3/4 century. At times they would have a second name like Mae, or similar, but not always. You need to clean up your rip-off sales personnel, instead of thinking about prosecuting a 75 year old widow that got ripped off by Globe. I am sure you would not win any court cases for what I already know about Globe, especially Joshh.

We moved with Globe Moving and Storage this past month and the BBB just emailed us this week saying they were investigating this company along with Midwest Vanlines in association with scams. We went with them because they were accredited but that obviously was a huge mistake. We had a similar problem as the woman above, and I have written about it on another post, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

The BBB shows this company she claims to have dealt with to be a BBB accredited business. However, the page you go to for details about the company has no rating and states the company's info is being updated.

It would seem very unlikely that a BBB accredited firm would pull this kind of mover crap, but the "updating" message is discomforting. Something going on the company would like to share with us?

Also look at the complaint. The name at the top of the file is Jesse from Wayside NJ. The complaint says she is a 75 year old widow. I highly doubt that any 75 year old widow anywhere would have a mans name. Whenw e find out who has posted this they will be presecuted to the fullest.

Hello my name is Chris I am the manager of the sales department at Globe Moving and Storage. I stumbled upon this review this morning and we did not move this customer. I checked our records and we havent moved anyone to Wayside NJ in 4 months. I have also checked our salesman Josh's reports on all booked jobs for 6 months and the highest overage is 21% due to the customer adding 65 extra boxes to he inventory list. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt this is another company posting bad reviews on us. If this is a customer please call me directly at 620-450-4718 and I personally will refund every dime of overages that you were charged. There are also other Globe Moving and Storage companies located in other states. We never charge our customers that way and our movers are clean cut, professional, and regulated to make sure things like this dont happen. Thanks
