Last night at dinner I found an approxiamtely  three inch long winged insect in the Glory Greens.  It was dark green.  I prepared the Fresh Mixed Greens as the instructions indicated but did not find the insect until it appeared on my plate.  I placed the insect in a bag and even today can hardly contain my disgust.  I am a retired Investigative Reporter and I want to know how this happened.

I noticed on the internet that I'm not the only person that this happened to.  I also found that the company was sold to McCall Farms and the Swink family in 2009.  I've been using this product for many years and was always pleased with the quality of the product until now.  Are you aware of this kind of insect infestation occuring before the company was sold?  There are obviously some quality control issues.  Is it possible that since this product is most popular with African Americans that the new owners don't care?  I know that people in other cultures eat insects but I don't, at least not conciously and I'm not eager to become an unconcious consumer of unidentified winged arthropods.  I certainly don't want to feed them to my family.  How did it happen?  Why did it happen?  What is the Swink family going to do in the future to protect consumers?  There was nothing glorious about last night's "Glory Greens".  The only thing green is me.  I'm green and sick to my stomach. This product has clearly gone, not to the dogs but to the Beetles.
